Hillary Won Popular Vote
Townhall ^

Posted on 06/04/2008 7:14:41 AM PDT by Comedylover

Hillary actually won the popular vote, if you count Michigan – even if you give Obama the “undecided” votes. However, according to Real Clear Politics, officials didn’t release the numbers in Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine. Those states would likely give the edge to Obama, unless you count Michigan and don’t give Obama the “undecided.”

So if you do the Democratic thing and only count actual votes for actual candidates, Hillary wins. She flat out wins.

Hillary! did NOT win the popular vote.

You simply cannot count Michigan without giving Obama the Uncommitted. You also cannot count the vote in IA, NV, ME, and WA.

Thus, the most fair and objective count is to count Michigan and give Obama the “uncommitted” votes.

Then use the estimate from IA, NV, ME and WA.

The result:

Obama 18,107,587 48.1%
Hitlery 18,045,829 47.9% Obama +61,758 +0.2%

But I get your point.

AGAIN don't people check this stuff? Overseas delegates get 1/2 a vote each. (Guam, Virgin Islands ect...) Further, each Michigan and Florida delegate only gets 1/2 a vote.

It depends on who is doing the counting. There are not just super delegates, but other “unpledged” delegates involved. Many of the ones “committed” to Obama now were originally allocated to Clinton... their entire process is screwie.

How many of Hitlery votes are Republican crossovers from Rush Chaos!!??? Quite a few were late in the game. (Since Texas onward.) The dumbest move Rush ever made IMHO. He was playing with fire. Hitlery is the most dangerous person that ever tried for the Presidency. It simply amazes me that so many here on FR were mindlessly supporting her. Obama cannot beat McCain, Hitlery would have. Further, Hitlery would have been the second coming of Adolf Hitler once in the Whitehouse. At worst, Obama is a Jimmah Carter II. We can survive the latter, we couldn't survive the former. I guess people forget Waco, Whitewater, Mena, selling secrets to the Communist Chinese, destroying the military, FBI files, the dozens of suspicious deaths, Hillarycare and the host of other criminal activities that the Klintoons were involved with.

It didn’t feel like springtime yet and the cold and rain outside added to the gloom inside. There was despair and doom so thick it sucked the air out of the room. Those inside the room were only the insiders. The brains of the Hillary for President campaign. They discussed their options and deliberated the only two paths to the presidency.

1. Win the Democrat nomination
2. Take the VP slot.

They determined that even if Hillary wins the nomination, she is doomed in November because she has lost the black vote and her negatives are the highest of any major candidate in history. She would not only lose in the general election but her negatives would create a firestorm that would drag down the moderate RATs in their congressional districts. Her mere presence would motivate the right in great numbers.

But thanks to OPERATION CHAOS, there is another alternative. Although the RAT nomination was decided on Big Tuesday, Hillary’s win in Texas and Penn enabled her to stay in the race and stay highly relevant. Without those wins, she would have just faded away. But with Obama at the head of the ticket, the black vote is assured, far-left America-hating liberals are appeased, and the historical angle will motivate many left-leaning moderates. Add Hillary to the ticket and the women vote will be secured. With the unwavering support of a 90% RAT media, it’s a winning ticket. So what if she has to ride the coattails of a successful male…she’s done it before.

On January 20, 2009, Hillary will be sworn in as the vice president, and only a heart beat away from the oval office.

Then on that fateful day in June 2009, President Obama will stroll into Ft. Marcy Park, seeking solace and silence as he contemplates how he could have been so wrong about the terrorist who just bombed another US Embassy. At some point his grief takes over and he decides that he can no longer lead this country. Although he is left-handed, he takes a handgun in his right hand and with extreme accuracy, fires two rounds into the back of his head, without leaving any traces of blood or body matter.

The next morning, Hillary stands before Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr to be sworn in, with a gleaming Bill Clinton standing by her side. Her swear in is followed by her first speech as President Hillary. “As your President I just wanna say, Rush, be careful what you ask for…”

Actually, that is counting those votes. All of them. Hillary wins unless you rename Obama “undecided.” You cannot give Hitlery the Michigan votes without counting the "Uncommitted" votes for Obama. Period. You either count Michigan and give the Uncommitted to Obama, or you don't count Michigan. Either way, Obama wins the total popular vote. We don't run elections with one person on the ballot in this country. Not to mention, everyone was well aware that a vote for Uncommitted was a vote for Obama by proxy. The "uncommitted" delegates were all vetted by "Obama for Michigan".

I don't mean any disrespect, but why give Obama any votes for Michigan at all. The man took his name off the Michigan ballet. He can't cry foul when the choice to take his name off the ballet was his own.

Hillary could have taken her name off the ballet as well but she left it on. To give Obama anything in Michigan when his name was not on the ballet, by his own choice, makes him selected not elected.

Hey, the primary rules were set up and agreed upon by everyone. Mi and FL Dem leadership knew the rules. The willfully broke the rules and made the Dem voters suffer the consiquences. Sucks. So sorry. But if the Dems count MI and FL in full, it sets up the precident that no one needs to follow the rules because there are no meaningful consiquences. And if that happens to the Dems, some piss poor Repub leadership in some state will follow that precident and do their own thing too.

Blame the MI and FL Dem leadership for disenfranchising the Dem voters. Sucks. As Glen Beck said: “Too bad.”
