I think the same thing is happening here.
Or maybe they’ve got Cindy McCain on tape saying something, so they’re getting a precedence of Republican fervor over making it matter, then wham, McCain is the one in trouble.
It makes no sense for Beckel or any partisan dem to discuss this topic/rumor if the supposed tape does not exist. I don’t know if it does, but there’s too much smoke in the air, and where there’s smoke there’s usually a fire.

Indeed, I have posted the same thing on another thread. These leaks are planned to increase expectations, then when the truth comes out and it isn’t nearly as bad, the whole thing is defused. We should NOT be so fooled again.
