This is going to be the weirdest election in my lifetime. Both major candidates could be considered fatally flawed. If either were running against a local Brownie Scout by all rights they'd easily have their respective clocks cleaned.
As it stands, the only person Obama could lose to is McCain and the only person McCain could lose to is Obama. I'm seriously afraid the American electorate is going to get the candidate it deserves no matter who wins.
Giving it a second thought, do you know what's just as scary as a marginal Obama win? The "mandate" of a McCain landslide.

this will be something to see, because it will all come down to Election Day, who will and won’t show up, and the result I predict will reveal just what a fantasy bubble this entire Obama candidacy was enclosed in. The bubble will burst for good on the day of voting.
