Now that the two parties have finally selected their presidential candidates, it is time for a sober — if not grim — assessment of where we are.
Not since 1972 have we been presented with two such painfully inadequate candidates. When election day came that year, I could not bring myself to vote for either George McGovern or Richard Nixon. I stayed home.
This year, none of us has that luxury. While all sorts of gushing is going on in the media, and posturing is going on in politics, the biggest national sponsor of terrorism in the world — Iran — is moving step by step toward building a nuclear bomb.
The point when they get that bomb will be the point of no return. Iran's nuclear bomb will be the terrorists' nuclear bomb — and they can make 9/11 look like child's play.
All the options that are on the table right now will be swept off the table forever. Our choices will be to give in to whatever the terrorists demand — however outrageous those demands might be — or to risk seeing American cities start disappearing in radioactive mushroom clouds.
All the things we are preoccupied with today, from the price of gasoline to health care to global warming, will suddenly no longer matter.
Just as the Nazis did not find it enough to simply kill people in their concentration camps, but had to humiliate and dehumanize them first, so we can expect terrorists with nuclear weapons to both humiliate us and force us to humiliate ourselves, before they finally start killing us.
They have already telegraphed their punches with their sadistic beheadings of innocent civilians, and with the popularity of videotapes of those beheadings in the Middle East.

I didn’t read this but there is no doubt that we are in for some rough times.
(This will make Iran play nice and all our other enemies like us as well.)
Iran cannot do anything to us we cannot survive, or that they will. If they do build a bomb, it will be just that. One bomb. They'll have to choose between trying to use it on us, trying to use it on Israel, or using it to test the design.
If they nuke anyone with it, the have to take the chance that it won't go off.
I think they want to nuke Israel more than they want to nuke us. I think Israel probably thinks so, too. We may not have to do anything to Iran, except be conveniently looking the other way at the right time.
It is not long and worth the read. It is to the point and frighteningly true.

A Golden Oldie!
“Only One Choice In Face Of Nuclear Terror”
Yep. Vote for the one man that will close the border and make sure that the ports are tight and inspections increased. Vote for freedom. Vote for change. Vote for America. Vote for Chuck Baldwin, Constitution Party.
But the meaning lingers on....lol.
Chuck Baldwin refuses to believe taht we are at war with Islamists.
What do you think would happen if a nuclear attack occurred with Obama as President? Would he get tough and call for immediate nuclear retaliation on a Muslim country? I think not. He would call for an immediate UN conference on peace. He would point to all of the USA’s transgressions as the number one killer in the world. We would see this country apologizing for our own injury. I hope to God that I am wrong.
Whoever did it would get nuked by Israel, because they know they'll be next. In a perfect world, we'd be the ones to do it, but I think whoever does it will be toast in 24 hours even if we don't.
I like your moniker “In God I trust.”
Yep, me too.
“Chuck Baldwin refuses to believe taht we are at war with Islamists.”
I think his main grievance is the war on Iraq. I was a supporter of that war at the beginning. But even if I just look at on how many issues that I agree with Juan, then look at how many issues I agree with Chuck....*I’m voting for Chuck.
* If that backstabbing sonofab*tch Juan picks a hard right conservative VP, I will have to reconsider....lol, but what is the chance of that happening?
“Vote for him and you’re helping to give the keys to the White House to Hussein Obama.”
McCain has yet to give me a reason to vote for him, therefore at this time I am not doing so.
If you are going to waste your vote, write in doug from upland. Maybe I can build some momentum.
