This is alarming. There has been a lot of talk on various jihadi forums regarding a nuclear strike by AQ.

Islam doesn't believe in world powers. They could care less who is in the White House or running any country. Everyone is an infidel who does not bow down to Islam. They even kill leaders in muslim countries just because they don't subscribe to Sharia law.
The warheads also have a SERIOUS "Best if used by..." date. They need periodic maintenance.
Last week there was posted a gloating picture of DC having been nuked.
My reponse post was that we are pefectly capable of writing Fantasy as well, and I outlined some scenarios of devastion in the Mideast.
Allow me to add to those:

If they wish to make it reality, than so be it.
I don't know. AQ does tend to do what they've done before, especially if it worked. They hit Spain just weeks before their election and definitely changed the outcome of the election giving power to the doves instead of the hawks. Then they did it again in the U.K. and they got rid of Tony Blair.
They may think that a strike on the U.S. right before the election will work on us too. And they might be right. We Americans have a short attention span, and there will be a cry of blame on us, for having taken the fight to them. Obama will leverage the "chickens coming home to roost" angle and could sweep into office in a landslide.
I do expect another attack, just before the election. What scares me is that it might work.

Also, Wretchard posted a story from Spengler about the unrest in Iran (that is a year old)—like major unemployment and huge inflation.

Yep, they’ve been dumping loads of it lately. My fear is that one of these “propaganda dumps” will contain a kernel of truth and we won’t recognize it for what it is.

OPINION:
I understand RR, but as a longtime TM reader, you probably agree that 80 to 90% of the stuff posted on the internet is jihad propaganda, while the rest is hard core jihad writings one should be concerned with.
We saw that with Younis Tsouli, (irhabi007).
He was good example of a propaganda dumper as well as providing hard core jihad information.

These monkeys only understand one thing...brute force! They must be crushed at all cost.
I don’t know if he is dead for sure, but his style of producing videos sure seems to be missing in action.
