What concerns me is the fact that, for a long time, I’ve developed a knack [or whatever you call it] for “ sensitivity” and this particular being sets off alarms all over the place.
This is no exaggeration...I am literally physically sickened by him.
I avoid all news shows now just to minimize the risk that I’ll have to look at him.
Every election cycle makes me jittery about the outcome, sure, but I’ve always consoled myself that either way, it’ll just be more of the same ol’ same ol’....but not this time.
There’s just an unbearable electrical heaviness in the atmosphere, if that makes any sense.
[shibumi, explain this for me]....LOL!
I get the same feeling from him, Salamander. As you said - it’s not “politics as usual”. There is definitely something much, much, more sinister about him and his affect on people.
Several years ago, when the primaries were being held in Illinois for the Senatorial election, I heard a talk show host, Jay Marvin state that he was going to vote for Barack Obama. Despite the fact that I had absolutely no idea who the guy was, I was overcome with apprehension and a distinct physical chill.
I thought the danger would lie dormant in Washington for a few more years.
I was wrong.
You are not the only ones who experience physical revulsion at the sight of him. My wife, a woman of impeccable instinct felt it before even knowing that he was a Democrat!
“Lightworker” has become a catchphrase of the New Age movement. In reality it's someone who wants desperately to feel superior to you, but hasn't got a real job. That's the benign form that it takes - filling in a void with pseudospiritual blather and a sense of self-righteousness.
Obama is something else, however. He is the embodiment of the malignant and malevolent side of the New Age.
“These people are counterfeit apostles, dishonest workers disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. There is nothing astonishing in this; even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11, 13-14.
Satan's original name of course, was Lucifer, from the Latin "Lux" (light) and "ifer" (bearer.) There are almost more references to this phenomenon in scripture than can be counted.
(Curious aside. When I spell checked this post, it flagged the word "self-righteousness" and the only alternative offered was "sulfurousness.")
>I avoid all news shows now just to minimize the risk that Ill have to look at him.<
Wow. I thought I was the only one who did that. I don’t even want to think of his winning or even be reminded that he could.
I don’t get physically ill though. Just a real bad vibe.
