Further, if Congress had passed the legislation over turning the ban, the SCOTUS would not have had the chance to hear the case and potentially clear up 70 years worth of asinine bad laws that blatantly infringe RKBA at all levels of government.
Spin, spin, and more spin. Enabled by the NRA...
No big surprise there.
Obama wins the election.
Enabled by dead corpse.
So you don't believe Obama is as anti-gun rights as NRA claims he is? Are you willing to risk losing a very important portion of your constitutional rights because of your intense dislike for McCain?
I don't like McCain's overall performance as a US Senator any more than you do, and I don't fully trust him on 2nd Amendment issues either. But I am willing to admit that he is light years better that Obama on that and almost every other conceivable issue, and I won't cut off my nose to spite my face by not voting against Obama. I may be rationalizing, but I see my potential vote not so much as FOR McCain as it is a vote AGAINST Obama.
As for your apparent dislike for NRA I certainly agree that it is not what it claims to be. I quit the NRA last year after almost 30 years of membership. But when it's right it's right, and I won't let my disgust with some of it's actions blind me to it's many good points.
