Left-wing evangelist Tony Campolo, one of Bill Clinton’s post-Monica counselors, has declared that America’s ostensibly aggressive war policies against Muslims are inhibiting the spread of the Gospel. And he rather uncharitably lambasted American evangelicals who do not share his leftist perspective as “jingoistic” and motivated by oil “lust.”

I’m sure if we were just really really nice to the moslems they’d become peaceful Christians. Yeah, right. Like that’s worked before.

has declared that America’s ostensibly aggressive war policies against Muslims are inhibiting the spread of the Gospel.

Because Christians in Afghanistan and Iraq flourished under Islam's tolerant teachings. Saudi Arabia is a hotbed for the preaching of the Gospel.

motivated by oil “lust.”

As if these leftist kooks walk everywhere and don't consume electricity. Take away their oil, and the leftists would scream as loud as anyone.

Its truly shocking how many young Christians are being blinded by liberal lies and the false preaching that Jesus would have been a liberal, for the environment, etc.

Fine...drop this moron into Jakarta with a pallet load of Bibles and let him “go to it”. Liberalism is a mental disorder. This guy is retarded.

If Tony’s concerned with the spread of the gospel to Muslims, maybe he’d like to do a little “street preaching” over in Saudi or Iraq, maybe Afghanistan (remember the Korean evangelistic team that went in to Afghanistan.)

There is nothing in the Bible supporting government imposed socialism.

There are numerous passages supporting the respect of private property, including “thou shall not steal”.

Charity is to be VOLUNTARY, and with a joyful heart, or God doesn’t even recognize it.

Hear that libs? Your support of socialistic redistribution of wealth counts for NOTHING in your obligation to help out the needy.

If he ain’t speading the true gospel of Christ, then I don’t support his ‘evangelical’ efforts at all.

Preachers who get involved in politics look awfully stupid. It does not matter which side of the fence they are on. Take that Hagee guy, he calls himself a conservative, endorses a guy who ain’t, then gets thrown under the bus by the guy in a New York minute.

The legendery “Tony Campolo.”

If its liberal its gospel to him.

He usually calls himself some sort of “moderate” or one who “follows Jesus.”

Like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Dr. Campolo has characterized himself as a “progressive.”

I call it Outsourcing Charity to bureaucrats. Just fork over your taxes and you don’t have to worry about those pesky poor people anymore.

More to the point, most people supporting these policies don’t give to charity, nor do they pay much in taxes. They just want to force others to do it and feel good about their “social conscience”.
