Hillary’s suspension of her campaign, and her omission of any release of her delegates, makes her a factor for Obama to consider for the next three months until the Democratic nomination is officially and finally his. Absent an actual statement to her delegates urging them to vote for Obama on the first ballot, Hillary’s candidacy cannot be said to have ended.
Rather, the former first lady will be slowly circling overhead during June, July, and August waiting for Obama to make a mistake or stumble.
Throughout the next three months, there will always be the possibility that he errs so badly that Hillary gets back into the race. Should another pastor rear his head or if one of the mythical tapes that are said to be about to emerge does, in fact, exist, Obama cannot rest secure in the nomination as long as Hillary is overhead, waiting.
Even if all of the superdelegates desert Hillary, as most will now do, she still has 1,639.5 pledged or elected delegates to call her own. While these men and women can legally vote for either candidate, regardless of the slate on which they were elected, one must assume that they are true Hillary believers, who would not have been put on her slate to begin with.
These pledged delegates mean that she is always just a step or two away from the nomination, should Obama commit a faux pas.
And there will be many opportunities for Obama to err over the next three months. With John McCain keeping up the pressure by suggesting 10 town meetings between now and the conventions, at which the two putative candidates appear side by side, a weak debate performance or a decisive McCain win in any one of them could trigger a crisis for Obama, which Hillary...

I figured that this was her strategy. He makes gaffes and stumbles all the time. She is just waiting for the ‘Big One’ to happen. Maybe she has the evidence in her vault and is just biding her time. It wouldn’t surprise me.

Hillary mentioned “assassination” enough times to give some poor, mentally ill, warped individual out there a bright idea to act on her words. - Now, just when Bill will do it remains to be seen.
There is nothing that marxist could do that would shake his faithful fans from supporting him. Even if the super delegates wanted to, they couldn’t change their minds, it would be riots in the streets. They are now officially stuck with this guy.
Soon we will see if Hillary has a copy of that rumored video of Michelle Obama. If it comes out before the primary, she had it all along.
McCain just needs to press Obama on those townhalls.

That’s what I thought too. I understand from a political strategy standpoint Hillary could still get the nomination if certain things happen, but, can you imagine the reaction if these events happened? Would Hillary really have enough support from the Obama voters to realistically win the general election?
And, if there are tapes or other evidence hurting Obama, given Billary’s reputation in this campaign, isn’t it likely they would be blamed for leaks of damaging information?
It costs her virtually nothing to hang in there waiting for him to implode by virtue of his associations.
While waiting for Obama to stumble, Hillary will stick her foot out any opportunity she gets.
Hell, Kerry almost won, and he was as bad as Jimmy Carter ever was--maybe worse. Carter didn't hold phony war crimes trials during Vietnam.
Which is her Plan B.
She lets Brother Messiah take the heat for 3 months; begs, borrows, or steals the nomination; then ducks for cover and rides the MSM express to the White House having NEVER YET explained her platform or answered any tough questions.
Either that or Plan C: her hired gunman takes Obamassiah out on 23 August.

Even if the Michelle Obama “whitey” racist rant tape comes out I still can see him getting over that.
It would take something absolutely MAJOR to hurt Obama to the point that Hillary steps back in.
Well, as she circles overhead, she isn’t incurring any campaign expenses while Obama will most likely have to spend every penny he can get his hands on. I can’t remember there ever being a Presidential candidate who was as unvetted as this one. Who knows what remains to be uncovered? I’d say Hillary is taking a pretty smart gamble.

There is nothing obama can do wrong as far as the ObamaBots are concerned. They are like those monkeys .. they cover their eyes (see no evil in obama); cover their ears (speak no evil about obama); and cover their mouths (speak no evil about obama). All this will change when he gets to the general election and has to appeal to people beyond the ObamaBots. The moderates and independents WILL CARE.
