Heroic Haditha Marine Acquitted

The long, painful ordeal of Marine 1st Lt. Andrew Grayson came to a sudden end Wednesday when a jury of seven fellow Marine officers found him not guilty of trumped-up charges that should never have been leveled against him in the first place.

As Newsmax reported on Sept. 11, 2007, Grayson earned the enmity of prosecutors when he turned down their offer that would spare him from prison if he would agree to testify against fellow 3rd battalion, 1st Marines.

"I was asked by the prosecution to fall on my sword for the greater good of the Marine Corps,'' Grayson, 26, recalled. "The prosecution wanted me to distort the truth to fit their end goal.''

Great news indeed. Congratulations to Lt Andrew Grayson for upholding the finest traditions of the United States Marine Corps!

Shame, shame, shame on the Secretary of the Navy for this witch hunt. The Sec Def needs to fire his sorry ass too.

God speed to the final two defendants.

So for the numbers, 8 charged w/ 6 acquittals and 2 yet to be tried. It is my understanding that prosecutors save the hardest for last and hope the prior trials went its way and the ‘convicted’ will roll on the last ones. I know they do not have the integrity but upon the release of the last two, I would demand a public apology from each traitors like Murtha, NYT, and the various libellous rags that promoted this for so long.

Amen!!! We owe those warriors, all of them, more than we will ever realize.

May God fully bless Lt. Grayson and keep him close. He has been through a hell worse than war.

From the article: Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center which is defending Chessani stated it best: “The government ordered these Marines to the front lines. They ordered them to attack the insurgents . . . Marines, risking their lives, followed those orders without hesitation. Their reward? Criminal prosecution.

The JAG corps and the other so-called "professional" services of the militray has been inundated by liberals in their midst. The commanders of these folks should be ashamed.

Congrats to the newest innocent, I wish him luck in recovering his life.

So for the numbers, 8 charged w/ 6 acquittals and 2 yet to be tried.

Decision coming June 16, next big day in Haditha case
Attorneys representing Marine Lt. Col Jeffrey Chessani will find out June 16 whether the presiding judge in the “Haditha Massacre” case will grant a defense motion to dismiss his charges because of undue command influence.

It is so sad that these men had to go through this. I pray that the last two don’t have to go through a trial.

and Democrat Congressman John Murtha, who called US Marines “cold blooded killers” on National TV, still refuses to apologize to the Marines.

If you contact Congressman Murtha’s Washington Office they will tell you “the Congressman has no intention of apologizing now or ever”.

You write: Bush is a failure in this department.

What department would that be and in what world? Should he go to Murtha’s office, the man who called them cold blooded killers, and slap him around for you or do you want to just blame Bush for the Democrats harassing the military?

If the prosecutors could have remembered “God, Country, Duty and Corp. this would not have ever went to trial.

Last paragraph of article:
Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center which is defending Chessani stated it best: "The government ordered these Marines to the front lines. They ordered them to attack the insurgents . . . Marines, risking their lives, followed those orders without hesitation. Their reward? Criminal prosecution. There must be some righteous person in the chain of command that will say 'enough is enough.'"
Murtha started this for sure. But the job of finishing this is been left to those jurors assigned to the various courts-martial proceedings.

The JAG corps and the other so-called "professional" services of the militray has been inundated by liberals in their midst.

THAT is the problem. Put their happy a$$es in an infantry platoon for 6 months on the front line outside the wire. Then they have EARNED the right to judge the men who risk everything so these lawyers can retire, run for congress or make some money. They are to Marines like tits on a bull. useless..... f'em all.

Gawd, thanks for getting my blood pressure up. I can't even stand reading these threads cause I get so p#ssed off. I've tried not to comment cause I always end up in time out from the mods.

so if you're offended..... ah nevermind, I don't give a d#mn.

That is absolutely true!!! But, Murtha still is the cause of all the misery for our Marines. He is still a Big Dope!!!
