My late father, who worked with the toughest kids in a Brooklyn high school, used to say that when a person's reaction is disproportionate to the stimulus, something else is causing it. So when Obama campaign co-chair Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) dramatically reserved the "hottest ring in hell" for those who would go after Michelle Obama, my antennae went up. Interviewing him, MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell also seemed a bit taken aback by the forcefulness of Durbin's response.
O'Donnell broached the subject by quoting from Maureen Dowd's NY Times column of this morning:
It’s good news for Obama that Hillary’s out of the race. But it’s also bad news. Now Republicans can turn their full attention to demonizing Michelle Obama. Mrs. Obama is the new, unwilling contestant in Round Two of the sulfurous national game of “Kill the witch.”

Durbin knows Michelle is a huge liability to the messiah’s chances at the WH, especially considering the possibility of a Michelle “whitey” tirade coming soon to a screen near you. Me thinks something’s a foot.

Republicans don’t need to waste time and energy focusing on Michelle. Barak himself provides more than enough fodder for criticism.
After some of the gaffes she has made already, I think their campaign will only let her appear in the most friendly of venues.
Interesting question. They have provided some high level people as her handlers. Why, I ask myself? If she was willing to be pushed into the background, this wouldn't seem to be necessary.
Somehow, I don't see Michelle allowing this and that would explain why they are trying to figure out what to do about it with the handlers and the pre-emptive warnings. I guess we'll see.
The best tactic is get Michele TALKING... gab gab gab smooze smooze smooze.. Get that girl talking.. She will do more damage than several small moonbats..
I guess it’s one thing to compare our troops to Nazis and the Khmer Rouge - that’s just fine, but calling Mrs. Messiah on her anti-American bs is taboo.
