The Obama campaign is now going to be spending more time addressing rumors?

The Politician's Playbook says "to confront rumors, do not confront them." That's a smart move. The Mainstream liberal press has it's own "Don't ask Democrats, don't tell" policy. If the candidate doesn't talk about a rumor, the MSM will pretend it doesn't exist. No potentially-embarrassing questions that way--provided it's a Democrat candidate.

Addressing the rumors breaks the policy and the candidate is fair game.

So is this a smart move by the man who gets the Mainstream Media all gooey inside? Here's one vote for "yes".

Any time spent refuting straw man rumors--and that's less time spent talking about the issues: issues are not a strong point for the Senate's most liberal member.

This is ironic because all the major media could be designated as “stopthesmear.com”. Also snopes.com amounts to an Obama apologist website. They claim to “debunk” several Obama stories.

From LGF: LGF reader Jinxmedic has some more information: A “certificate of live birth” is a government extract of the original birth certificate filed with the state or commonwealth. The certificate shown on Kos’ page is what you would get if you applied for a duplicate of an existing birth certificate, in the event that you needed it for employment or identification, or whatever. It is NOT a copy of the original document, simply the extracted information printed onto a proprietary paper at the time of the request. So, yes, a certificate of live birth from 1961 can be authentic, printed via Microsoft Word with a laser printer. Just like President Bush's TANG records were. You remember those-the ones that led to Dan Rather retiring.

Sadly, Sinclair’s refuted himself mostly. We’ve followed LS—and gave him more than the benefit of doubt—from the beginning. What Larry’s mostly interested in is raising money for Sinclair.

We have covered Sinclair extensively. The first five or six of our Sinclair stories were more than fair to him. Library of DBKP Larry Sinclair, Obama's Accuser, Stories Five months on, we're still waiting for any proof from this goof. As we said a couple weeks ago: Larry's offered plenty of fund-raisers and pleas for money, but still no proof. And that's all the fairness we're going to give this still-wanted felon (who's on one Most-Wanted list) and who insists on posting a picture of himself from his 20's as what he looked like at the time of his alleged meeting with Obama. We've exchanged several emails with Sinclair and basically are saying what we asked for 4 months ago: ANY evidence to back up his claims. We're still waiting. We have no love for Obama, but spending the time on Obama and his loony positions is more valuable than spending it on helping a two-bit conman. Thanks for your comment, though.

I had to send away for my ‘official’ birth cirtificate from Pennsylvania. It is plain jane looking, like the one I posted.

Yes, you have covered him ‘extensively’, but not very well. You do not have links to any of his extensive public interviews. You have taken the time to ‘fisk’ what Larry has said and ask such scorning questions as ‘why would a sitting Senator buy coke..’. You have made much hay out of Larry’s past criminality.

You play up his ‘failing’ the polygraph, yet never seem interested in how the other 3 hours and 58 minutes of the recorded polygraph test went. Only a shady test giver’s summation of two questions. Is it possible they asked Larry many questions about the alleged incident? Does it seem strange that the video of that test, which was supposed to be released in its entirety has never been seen?

You mock Larry (deservedly so) for his rambling Minnesota Lawsuit filed which got thrown out, but you seem strangely silent on the fact that Larry has a signed affidavit to the CPD regarding calls from one Donald Young, not to mention giving them his phone numbers for tracking. And in that affadavit, he restates the allegations about Obama.

If larry is such a nut job, why have none of the hundreds of anti-Larry bloggers/Obama volunteers demonstrated where Obama was during that time period. That’s right he was in Chicago. And how the heck would Larry know that if he did not meet him?

You may not think hotel receipts and bar tabs are much of a proof of anything, but Larry was clearly in Chicago for the time he said he was. He has offered up the Limo Driver, a witness, to the MSM, but they won’t run with the story. He said long ago he was not going to release the name on his blog so the Obama vultures could go after him.

And seeing how the Koskids are getting their panties in a knot over Larry upcoming press conference, all I can say is Go Larry Go.

In the 23 articles we published, we posted the video of Larry being interviewed in Puerto Rico by a Muppet on a talk show; as well as excerpts from his most recent interview at Right Perspective--and Larry has written many, many words in his effort to pump supporters for money.

If you'd done some homework, you'd known we ran not one, but two stories, questioning the credentials of the polygraph "expert" who conducted the test. The list of stories from that time which questioned the test is a small one. We did two.

DBKP was also the first to debunk the fake WashPo editorial that the Obamaniacs circulated via email trying to discredit Sinclair--back before he discredited himself.

Larry has a signed affidavit that he talked to the CPD--not that he provided any proof to them--which he didn't.

Scornful? It's hard not to be. Of the 23 Sinclair stories, the first 11 (maybe 12) were pro-Sinclair, 1 neutral and the last 10, scornful.

Strangely silent? We held out hope for ten long weeks waiting for any shred of proof. The hotel receipts prove that he had a room in Gurnee, IL and checked out on the morning of (at least one of) the nights he supposedly had Obama back to his room. Obama was in Chicago: in the Senate on one of Larry's days, and speaking at a symposium the other.

Larry's offered up the limo driver?!? Really, do a bit of checking: you'll backtrack on this as fast as Larry has. Now, he says that the limo driver is a friend of Obama's. This is the Third different excuse about why he can't produce a limo driver who'll corroborate his story.

Our attitude is this: it could've happened, but the likelihood is fast approaching 0%. And no one has debunked Larry more than Larry.

I NEVER thought I'd be in the position of defending B.H. Obama--and on FR! You read the stories, watch the videos, follow the links: if you're then still convinced about Larry going anywhere but back behind bars, perhaps a donation to one of Sinclair's many "funds" would be in order. Maybe you'll get to buy Larry his next $1400 escort.

I realize that not everyone has spent, literally, 100s of hours reading, on the phone (on hold a lot) and talking with people who've known Larry, done "business" with him or to check out his many, many claims. For weeks, we spent hours and hours trying to dig up stuff to HELP Larry Sinclair. If you can find any hard evidence for the guy, you're better than we are at the moment.

Well, you certainly have repeated some of the talking points of the leftwing blogs, so allow me to educate you on the situation.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, that the hundreds of obamunists have written has refuted Larry’s basic story. Not his criminal record, not his medical history, not his supposed failure of a questionable polygraph.

Larry stated months ago that he will reveal the limo driver’s name to a major media outlet, but would not put it on the blogs. Larry repeated his promise to do just that again about three weeks ago, on his blog, if any media outlets would be willing to talk to him. So far, crickets from the MSM. He has ALWAYS stated that the driver knew Obama, from day 1.

He has always stated and produced receipts that he extended his stay in Chicago, beyond his original checkout night.

Your story about the Chicago PD is incorrect as well. He has stated multiple times that he has given his old phone numbers to the CPD so they could corroborate or at least investigate his claims that Donald Young called him. CPD is in possession of his old phone number at the time.

As you know, the Sympsoium speech was an early evening affair, and in no way refutes anything Larry has said. He never said they were constant companions for a day.

If you make these generic claims of self refutation on Larry’s part (like all the Obamunists do) you might want to line up some quotes. Because from every thing I have read since late january, he has been exceedingly consistent, unlike his critics, who repeat each others fanciful talking points.
