Now I am confused, are you saying when someone says they paid the ultimate price, they are NOT talking about death? I at first thought Planole misunderstood and now you, maybe it is I that misunderstand the phrase. Just looking to get my interpretation of the phrase correct.

No, you’re right. The phrase is most commonly used when referring to death of a soldier.

I’m just shocked any conservative would suggest that McCain did not pay an ultimate price for freedom, especially as compared to Obama.

I’m even more saddened that out of all the VITALLY IMPORTANT facts in this column, some choose to take issue with this line...

How sad!

No, man, you're missing the big picture. John McCain comes back from Nam primed for a glorious political career. But is this "John McCain" the same one that went in? There are wheels within wheels within wheels.
