The "bad lists" are the result of its failure to indicate that donors were pretty upset at the Bush-Kennedy-McCain "comprensive" shamnesty bill a couple of years ago.

Heck, the only acknowledgment that they made was the elimination of the in-house fund raisers.

That's it. Blame the disgruntled fund raisers. If they knew people were upset about the rewarding lawbreakers, I'm sure they would have suggested to Bush it wasn't a good idea, and made sure McCain was left to his own resources at the beginning of his candidacy.
