Has NBC White House Correspondent David Gregory turned over a new leaf?

Gregory, who has earned a lot of critics for having an anti-Bush/liberal bias, made it seem that way during a discussion about ethics in politics and journalism Thursday. He claimed to struggle with Jewish teachings about saying bad things about others - at least when it comes to Democrats.

Gregory, who is Jewish, said he relies on the Jewish law on speech to make editorial decisions for his MSNBC daily afternoon show "Race for the White House."

Not sure if I believe this one - Jewish beliefs stopped him from disparaging a Democratic pol.

Gregory was always a liar, and now he’s a liar hiding behind his religion to avoid telling the truth about his chosen candidate.

I’ve always thought something like this is what it means to use the Lord’s name in vain.

The makes my hair hurt: A self-described Jew who cites Jewish teachings to avoid discussing an avowed anti-semite and racist. I've spent some time around "learned" Jews, and this is the first time I've ever heard anything remotely like this.

Remember what Bill Clinton called Todd Purnam after the Vanity Fair hit piece? THAT is what David Gregory is.

Now, if Mr. Gregory is being completely and totally honest about this, and I do mean “if,” he has been misleading NBC since he signed his first contract with them.

That would raise an interesting question: Every time he asked a snarky question of the president’s spokesman, or the president himself, why would he do that if his faith will not allow him to be critical of anyone?

Or he is only capable of disparaging candidates and office holders that he does not admire?

Wow. This is the most outstanding rationalization I’ve seen in years.

Putz.

Funny, the only Jew I know (didn’t know he was Jewish until about a week ago) is the most conservative person I know politically. He stated that almost all the members of his temple (in Odessa, TX) are fire-breathing conservatives.

Not sure his being Jewish has anything to do with his being such a turd.

Think being an inside-the-beltway Yankee liberal has more to do with it.

What a crock. Did he conveniently forget all his beliefs when it came to President Bush the past eight years?? Gregory must really think nobody has been paying attention to his career-long sniper barrage against REPUBS.

He’s one of the few over at MSNBC who doesn’t appear to be for Obama and doesn’t hesitate to criticize him. I watched a lot of the primary coverage and got the impression he very pro-Hillary.

If so, any reputable news organization should not allow him to make editorial decisions.

This guy is such a partisan hack. Now they are going to make him the host of Meet the Press?

That seems entirely appropriate because he is the poster boy for the MSM.
