"...Nearly all of an estimated 1,150 prisoners, including some 400 Taliban inmates, fled a prison in Kandahar..." Probably just as well. Just think of what the legal fees might have been if all of these phakin towel-heads had wanted their day in U.S. courts.

What difference does it make?
Blow a hole in the main gate or simply release the bastards.
Either way we keep catching them and one way or another they go free to kill some more.
Ought to quit bringing them in.

Between this and that idiotic USSC ruling yesterday, I predict fewer captives.

Where they our Taliban insurgents? I imagine at some point in their careers they were our guys. But hey things change. They may just be working in the heroin business and needed more field workers.
Tough to know who's running who out there.

They let the birds out of the pen. They get a two day head start and then they will let the dogs loose.
Yep you got it right there will be no prisoners next time.

I meant that what better way to keep these murderers from bankrupting the U.S. than to put them in a mud prison, blast them out, and lose them somewhere.

Keep 'em there and they get out of jail. Send 'em to Gitmo? They'll get trials that will comprimise our sources and methods.
Sorry, but the next time we corner them, we should just pull a South Park, "He's coming RIGHT FOR US..!" and mow them all down.

Well, that's about 400 fewer defendents who won't be showing up in any US federal court.
I'll bet the ACLU and CAIR lawyers are having a fit contemplating their potential loss of fees. They were money in the bank.

They were in Afghan, not US, custody, so I don’t think any US court rulings would have applied.
The prisoners were on hunger strike recently, and an Afghan minister in Karzai’s govt visited, and promised a review of their cases.
But it is boring to wait ... so ...
