Israel isn’t an issue right now because they have more pressing issues to worry about. They did not stop loathing Israel overnight. There is no benefit for the Iraqis in allying with Israel, only drawbacks. They will already be under suspicion of being an American puppet & will have to scream against Israel even louder to prove their Arab credentials.

If Israel was strong & knew what it was doing, it would have all sorts of minority allies, not just Iraqis, but Israel is not strong. Instead, it is beneficial to most Middle Eastern minorities to bash Israel so as to be on the safe side.

Arabs do not fear or respect Israel, that is the problem. So it is very hard for Israel to find anyone willing to take the risk of allying with it. If Israel would make itself feared & respected, you will find a change in attitude from many people.

On the other hand, I’m glad to see that at least one Israeli is actually willing to explore the idea of having Arab allies instead of the endless desperation to be Western that we usually get.
