You tell a 900 pound gorilla that it can’t do what it wants when it wants and how it wants, the gorilla isn’t likely to take it as a friendly reminder that it’s not in charge.
Federalism fed the 9 pound chimp and turned it into a 900 pound gorilla. Still don’t mean the gorilla is right.
And frankly I don’t care if the gorilla is pissed off or not. The gorilla needs to start going on a damn diet. Maybe this is the first step. It would be the best way to deal with spiraling debt and deficits. Only allow it to do the few things it is supposed to do and get it the hell out of everything else it shouldn’t be doing.
