Obama's Naivete. Can the U.S. afford a president who can't recognize anti-Americanism?
National Review ^ | June 12, 2008 | Ion Mihai Pacepa

Posted on 06/15/2008 5:15:57 PM PDT by FocusNexus

Finally, Barack Obama saw the light and broke with Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. It took him 20 years to realize that its leaders, its in-house publications, and even its guest preachers were anti-American. If elected president, he will not have so long a grace period to make his decisions.

Another vulnerable point for Senator Obama is his changing policy toward Cuba. A few days ago he announced that, if elected president, he would promote a much friendlier policy toward that country. It was a rousing speech. Even Fidel Castro rose from his sickbed to praise this oration by "the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency," in a hand-signed piece published - in English, of course - in Cuba's official Granma.

As national security adviser to Romanian president Nicolae Ceaucescu, I dealt with many tyrants, and I learned that being nice to them never succeeds in making them nice to you.

....

Indeed, the U.S. needs a new policy to deal with Cuba - just as it badly needs a new one to deal with today's Russia. That policy should be based on thorough, realistic assessments of these leaders and their strategic interests.

From what we know of Barack Obama - from what the entire world now knows of Barack Obama - is he the man America wants across the table from the likes of Ahmadinejad, Castro, and Putin?

Obama's Naivete. Can the U.S. afford a president who can't recognize anti-Americanism?

About the author: Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa is the highest official ever to have defected from the former Soviet bloc.

He does understand dictators. I think he was the head of the Romanian version of the KGB under Ceausescu, until he defected to the US in 1978. He wrote "Red Horizons, Chronicles of a Communist Spy Chief", in which he described the activities of Ceausescu.

I just did a Google book search, and in Chapter II, terrorist Abu Nidal is mentioned -- more evidence that communists and Islamic terrorists are working together for the destruction of the US. I need to get the book and read about it. I am reading some of the free pages -- looks like Ceausescu met with Arafat to discuss some Abu Nidal operations, while pretending to condemn him.

This is a little off the subject -- but it gives a bit of insight of how our enemies really operate.

Can Obama deal with that? Maybe he would just join them.

Not only can’t he recognize anti-Americanism, he’s part of it.

Obama is too naive to be President. Period. Besides that he's a Clintonesque liar. We don't need another one like that in our WH.

Or maybe he’s already on their team.

I do not believe Obama is naive in the least. he knows exactly what anti-Americanism is.

And over the last 20+ years he has carefully cratfed and developed himself into being the epitome of that leftist, marxist movement, and in a very sugar coated and very prepared, smooth talking package for the camera and the masses.

Obama IS extremely naive and that isn't something a POTUS can afford to be. His naivete and his liberal-socialism adds up to what can only be termed, a disaster in the making.

Having said that. People have to understand that the rise in anti-Americanism can be directly traced to the rise anti-Bush sediments over the last 8 years. The 2000 election has left a sour taste in the mouths of whining liberals, both here and abroad.

Right. Hussein is not really naive or inconsistent in his own thinking. He only appears that way because he must change his stated positions to fool the public and keep them from realizing that he is a committed Marxist.

Actually, ‘sediment’ works pretty well in this case. :^)

What a sorry picture..While the others say the Pledge of Allegiance, Obama is saying it his way:

I Pledge Allegiance,to the flag, of Kenya, and to the country for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty, and justice.

But heavens to Murgatroyd, doesn’t the author realize what a breath of fresh air B Hussein is? How hip? Young? Hopeful? Surely Ahmaneedajihad, Kim Jung Il and Hugo Chavez will break into song and dance if he’s elected, take all their weapons and threats and go home, singing his praises all the way.

John McCain’s Sons

Talk about putting your most valuable where your mouth is! Apparently this
was not ‘newsworthy’ enough for the media to comment about. Can either of
the other presidential candidates truthfully come close to this? .... Just a
question for each of us to seek an answer and not a statement.

You see...character is what’s shown when the public is not looking. There
were no cameras or press invited to what you are about to read about, and
the story comes from one person in New Hampshire.

One evening last July, Senator John McCain of Arizona arrived at the New
Hampshire home of Erin Flanagan for sandwiches, chocolate-chip cookies and a
heartfelt talk about Iraq. They had met at a presidential debate, when she
asked the candidates what they would do to bring American soldiers home - -
soldiers like her brother, who had been killed in action a few months
earlier.

Mr. McCain did not bring cameras or press. Instead, he brought his youngest
son, James McCain, 19, then a private first class in the Marine Corps about
to leave for Iraq. Father and son sat down to hear more about Ms. Flanagan’s
brother Michael Cleary, a 24-year-old Army First Lieutenant killed by an
ambush ... a roadside bomb.

No one mentioned the obvious: In just days, Jimmy McCain could face similar
perils. ‘I can’t imagine what it must have been like for them as they were
coming to meet with a family that ......’ Ms. Flanagan recalled, choking up.
‘We lost a dear one,’ she finished.

Mr. McCain, now the Republican nominee, has staked his candidacy
on the promise that American troops can bring stability to Iraq. What he
almost never says is that one of them is his own son, who spent seven months
patrolling Anbar Province and learned of his father’s New Hampshire victory
in January while he was digging a stuck military vehicle out of the mud.

Two of Jimmy’s three older brothers went into the military. Doug McCain, 48,
was a Navy pilot. Jack McCain, 21, is to graduate from the Naval Academy
next year, raising the chances that his father, if elected, could become the
first president since Dwight D. Eisenhower with a son at war.

I chose to share this with those who I believe will pass it on, to others
who will pass it on. We hear so much inflated trash out there. How about a
simple act of kindness ... and dedication to others placed above oneself?

Has anybody heard if Barack Hussein Obama has served in The American Armed
Services?

This is for all you Barack voters.

From Barack’s book, Audacity of Hope: These are his words for everyone to
read........

‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly
direction.’

HE DID NOT SAY STAND WITH AMERICANS!!!!!

http://ci-academy.com/Documents/russia_islam_not_separate.html

Also, Russia has a long history killing and working with/using Muslims to further goals.

Remember Litvenenko and the Chchen connections?

-BTW, Obama is anti-American, so of course he can’t recognize it.

I’m still waiting for someone to ask about the Arab slaughters in Darfur and Odinga’s muslim friends (who recently asked that those who murdered during the election be set free and not charged).

“more evidence that communists and Islamic terrorists are working together for the destruction of the US.”

There is no doubt in my mind that this is true... no doubt at all, frankly. One only needs to look at who is organizing all the “anti-war” protests, and actions against our military. [Not that there isn’t a wealth of other evidence to support this fact...]

Make no mistake about it - the socialists/communists/marxists think that by joining with the terrorists they can bring down the U.S., and then worry about controlling the terrorists themselves after the fact. It’s not like they’ll worry about “public sentiment” when they exterminate all those who would stand against them - it’s just history repeating... Except this time the gaggle of useful idiots are here in the U.S., and they’ve already achieved a number of their stated goals... And, Obama is their new “savior”...

Yep, you got it! He is trying his hardest to be “everything to everyone” in order to get elected. I really have no doubt that once elected he will attempt the sweeping changes he keeps talking about and that his followers are all to happy to believe in... What’s perhaps even scarier, is that I’m not sure the “liberals” even care that he is a marxist - they are right there with him! It’s only for the benefit of Independents and Swing voters that he is guarding his words.
