“There is a pilot program in Dallas where they put a tracking device on several students that are well known for not showing up to class. According to the news it has worked beyond their expectations and the kids are excelling in class, now that they are there. One said, “hey I can’t hide.”

Yep. Select groups of people are chipped, the positive results are touted, the chipping expands...

And Google-Earth portrays our private property across the internet for all the world to snoop in ...
And “smart” homes upload our personal living habits...

And our RFID chips provide our medical/health status to our grocer’s computer which in turn allows or prevents our purchases of various food items,alochol, tobbacco etc..

Okay I’ll stop my tin-foil-hat-rant. :)

I agree it can and could well become a slippery slope and get out of control. I made by post just for food for thought that in certain cases it just may help some individuals.
