The neighbors who are divided over a growth of bamboo at a Mt. Pleasant residence came face to face Tuesday night, and neither side appeared to blink.
A hearing convened by an appeals board of the Central Westmoreland Council of Government heard from Myra Posner, who has grown bamboo in her yard for the past 22 years, and her next-door neighbors, Tara Greenawalt and Dan Gelzheiser, who say the bamboo has invaded their yard and is a nuisance.

This is a man who has abused the system. Tries to be his own lawyer, collects a VA disability (but works) does not pay support/medical bills for 2 kids, just needs something to complain about! He also has 2 dogs that he mates and more and more puppies are born!!!! Did he ever hear of spay/neuter? No he is looking for a way to make some $$$. Now he wants a civil suit against someone who has lived there for 25 years???? PLEEZE............he needs a life. He could have handled this a whole lot diffrently but chose to do it the wrong way. Now everyone in our small town is angry!!!! What is wrong with this man and his woman????
Speaking of Boo...is anyone here doing any “container gardening” of bamboo....I have recently decided to grow a few different kinds of boo in containers, both running and clumping, including Buddha Belly boo which I planted in Vista and Fallbrook, Calif back in the early ‘70s...
Over 1300 kinds of boo available...cost has zoomed up since the 70s!

FWIW, after reading post #20, I gave up on cultivating bamboo. I only have 1/5th of an acre. The risk just isn’t worth it. Maybe if I lived on 10, I’d be willing to try.
