RUSH:... If, ladies and gentlemen, Osama Bin Laden is brought to the United States under these new Supreme Court rules -- as supported by the haughty John Kerry and Richard Clarke and everybody else in Obama's foreign policy apparatus -- and we bring Osama in under the presumption of innocence, somebody explain to me why we are trying to kill him? Why have we sent out Special Ops, SEAL teams, drones? Why have we sent the best we've got into those mountainous regions since 2001 to kill Obama if, in our court system, he would be presumed innocent? And, why is it that so many Democrats, lo these many years, have proclaimed the war on terror a failure because we have not killed Osama? We haven't captured Osama or killed Osama. But it's okay to nuke the guy on the battlefield. Why are we trying to kill Osama Bin Laden if he will be assumed innocent in an American courtroom? (cont.)

Should Bin Laden Be Presumed Innocent, Senator Obama?

What can we do short of a rebellion at the Convention? As far as I can tell, McCain won the nomination fair and square. And it isn't as if "true conservatives" didn't have horses in the race

McCain became the presumptive nominee of the party with just 31% of the total primary vote. Open and winner take all primaries helped McCain game the system. He was by far not the choice of the majority of Reps. The rules have to be changed or we will again have someone like McCain as the nominee.

FYI: McCain was the only top tier candidate of either party who couldn't win his/her home state with 50% or more of the vote. McCain won AZ with 48% of the vote.

So what do we do now? Well, you can either be a quitter or keep fighting the libs and 'Rats by playing the best game we can with the hand we've been dealt. I for one will not willingly turn the country over to a Marxist-socialist like Obama without a fight, which is what we'll be doing if we stay home and pout or spitefully vote for some hopeless third-party candidate.

I hope Reps don't stay home. Far better to vote for a third party candidate rather the hurt the rest of the Reps down ballot. I for one will be leaving the office of the Presidency blank this year, the first time I have not voted for a Rep for President in over 40 years. McCain and Obama both favor amnesty, which will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen. I will not be complicit in supporting any candidate who holds this position. If John McCain can vote on the basis of conscience and principle over party, so can I.

“The RCP average is 47 to 42.8 for Obama. Like I said, Obama is ahead in the polls.”

Like I said before, I would not call 4 points a lead at all, at a minimum it means a tie when you factor in the margins of error and the Most Likely To Vote group, as well as the “Bradley/Wilder/Obama Effect.” Yes, I said the Bradley/Wilder/Obama Effect, because that was proven during the primaries. Remember the so called double digit lead the messiah had in California, well he lost by 13 points. Remember the late surge and supposed tightening of the polls in PA, well he lost there by 10 points (actually 9.5 points). Obama will be savagely attacked on issues that he is vulnerable on (see previous post), issues that he has no defenses on, all he has is hot air rhetoric. Lastly, get ready for the return of our favorite pastor, Jeremiah Wright, and the introduction of radical Bill Ayers, both great life long buddies of the messiah. And if you claim that Wright’s videos won’t hurt Obama, well you’re wrong there. The last time Jeremiah Wright was all over the airwaves Obama’s numbers in MO went from down 2 to Mac to down 15 in 3 days. MO is as much a battleground State as VA, CO, NV, NM, IO, WS, MI, PA, OH, MN and NH. Other issues that I haven’t mentioned that will hit the airwaves and sting the messiah in these States and more are:

1) The NRA’s endorsement of Mac and their all out effort to defeat Obama. Nominating a pro gun dem like Little Jimmy Webb as his running mate will not fool anyone, Obama’s stance on the Second Ammendment is well known to Wayne LaPierre, the NRA leadership and the members.

2) Obama’s radical unforgiving position on Partial Birth Abortion, a subject that has not been brought up yet, and one the messiah does not want to discuss. McCain is currently winning 72% of the evangelical vote (see Washington Post Poll), and as soon as this issue hits the airwaves in key States, then Obama’s “support” from many individuals who care deeply about this subject will nose dive. For the record, Jim Webb and Tim Kaine of VA, both being considered as Obama’s running mate, are against Partial Birth Abortion. An interesting article:

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/10/22/abortion/index.html

Like I said, McCain has a playbook and the plan is sound and working. Obama has reactions, why do you think he’ll soon be making a trip to Iraq and Afghanistan? Did he have an epiphany or something? No, and if I was McCain I’d go to Iraq right before the messiah’s scheduled visit and congratulate the troops (and my Marine son) on a job well done. I can assure you McCain’s Iraq welcome will be very boisterous and genuine, not scripted and staged.

"HOPE and CHANGE."

Obama in his own words from Audacity of Hope:

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Obama is a race baiting, lying, Muslim militant that would destroy the USA if given the chance.

The poll numbers will always reflect just what the Drive-Bys want them to...however, things should improve for McCain on the drilling issue. Even Libs are in favor while their messiah is not.

I agree with you Miss Didi, if the messiah’s lead was 10 - 12 points then the MSM/DBM would be calling the race over. Mac is doing fine, he’s raising lots of money, and best of all he’s controling the debate, and that’s the most important thing.

B. Hussein has run out of steam. McCain will mop the floor with the militant during the debates.

I appreciate your positive outlook...there’s no sense in already claiming defeat. And I think more money will roll in if (and I’m really praying on this) McCain makes an excellent VP choice.

Why does he need public funding? He has all of these resources at his disposal:

B. Hussein Obama already has enough funding via the LameStream Media....and this is just a small sample of his propaganda machine. Factor in radio, local tv "journalists" and the nation's newspapers, and BHO has the media locked up. "In the Tank" is the best phrase to describe the situation.

Just 14% of voters believe there’s not much difference between Barack Obama and John McCain in terms of how they’ll actually perform as President. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that 77% disagreed and see a significant difference. These views are held fairly evenly across partisan and ideological lines. Lower income voters and those with less education are most likely to say there’s not much difference.

See cuz it’s the new political paradigm.
Not. I shall suck on the benefits of the George Soros brainwashed masses.

And the media will now find no evil with money. None whatsoever.

Don’t listen to the doomsday crowd, Mac is doing great. Considering all the glorious press Obama has gotten and continues to get he should be up by at least 10 points, but he’s not, he’s not even close. Also, did you see that Governor Ed Rendell of PA took his name out of consideration for VP today. He stated for the record that he has no foreign policy experience and that disqualifies him. Funny how Mark Warner of VA, Ted Strickland of OH and now Ed Rendell of PA have all said no thanks to Obama/Axelrod. Telling isn’t it?

The "public money" is the pool of voluntary checkoffs on income tax.

Again, why is the federal government involved in payoffs to parties? The first priority for these funds is the nominating conventions. If people want to support their parties, they can do it directly. I just don't like that the parties have so ingrained themselves in the government that they might as well be the government. Washington would not be happy with the current state of affairs.

BTW, for party-related expenses directly taken from the taxpayers, just look at all the perks and extra staff given to minority and majority leaders and whips in Congress when the only positions actually authorized are the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate. The parties should be paying for that extra staff and expenses, not us.

The answer to your (rhetorical) question is that there are 535 members of Congress and 534 of them are either Republicans or Democrats and 1 of them is an independent. And he’s (Bernie Sanders) a socialist.

He’s pathetic. Opts out of public funding, blaming McCain.

To a democrat, who is also a liberal, who is also a socialist, who is also a communist, the old communist way of doing things applies: whatever it takes to win. The end justifies the means. It's all about winning. And the democrats will do whatever it takes to win.

It's time that republicans realize that fairness is not the way to do battle with the democrats. The democrats will play dirty and when they win, like they've been doing in the last 4 years, the laugh all the way with their wins to the U.S. Senate and to the U.S. house, and to the respective state senates and houses.

As long as we republicans continue to put ourselves above the dirty politics, we will lose.
