Massachusetts High School Faces Pregnancy Boom

Thursday, June 19, 2008

A Massachusetts high school is facing a pregnancy boom with 17 girls entering summer vacation expecting babies in what some have called a pregnancy pact.

Officials at Gloucester High School in Gloucester, Mass., are investigating whether half of the teens made a pact to get pregnant during the school year, Time.com reported.

Officials said that beginning last fall a large group of girls started asking the school clinic for pregnancy tests, the site said.

"Some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," principal Joseph Sullivan told Time.com.

How does this happen?

You want the entire technical description with references to birds, bees, cabbages, and storks? I haven't given that briefing in over 20 years.... but I remember most of it.

I have no scientific evidence, but it seems to me that this whole baby mama phenomenon is becoming very popular in blue collar white communities (like Gloucester). If the girl isn’t going to college, she’s having a baby, no “father” needed. Intentional bastardy aint just for the ghetto anymore...

“I will have something that will unconditionally love me!”

I love that idiotic line teen mothers always try to justify their irresponsiblity with. They confuse love with need. The first couple years of a babies life, its not all about it giving you love. Its about it needing you to feed it, wash it, and take care of it.
translated:
“my parents and the state will pay for all this, and they will do the majority of taking care of it as I continue to go out and party and raise my children without a marriage or good father in its life.”

If that many girls got pregnant, I’ll bet even the guys in the Chess club were getting laid.

The “baby daddy” will have any paycheck he earns docked for the next 18 years. This will STILL not be enough, so the taxpayers will effectively be the REAL baby daddy.

The taxpayers and their parents, ofcourse. If they had to pay the bills themselves, they might of thought twice of letting homeless and careerless people knock them up.

I always finished the briefing with an assignment to do a statistical analysis on women that finished school, got married, and had babies (in that order) vs. girls that just had babies.

It was an eye opener for my girls. They finished school and got married before they had babies.

We're waiting on grandbaby #3 now. ;)

SEICUS and others push an agenda of telling kids to JUST SAY YES. It is the sex positive agenda at play.

Your tax dollars at work.

It’s very sad to think these girls think their life is going to be so wonderful with a baby, without a husband.

We’ve become so non-judgemental that we’re not supposed to say anything, or warn girls about getting pregnant and what their life will be like.

The combination of the sex revolution and de-stigmatizing certain behaviors and lifestyles helps lead us to high levels of out of wedlock births.

There was something good about the “old days” when it was expected that marriage, husband, wife, and baby all went together in a package deal. It was better for society and better for the mothers and children to have those societal and cultural expectations.
