“Speaking of Melanie Morgan, what’s up with KSFO? I heard another woman on the Morning Show with Lee Rodgers? Did they really need to get rid of Melanie just to replace her with Melanie-lite?”

Supposedly, in a cost-cutting move, she was canned a few months ago. Hard to justify three hosts on a radio talk show, I guess. I miss her, she was a great foil for Lee and the show is quite a bit dryer now.

Yeah, I don't listen to the Morning Show as much as I used to. You're right that it's much drier now. The interviews are still interesting, but the in-between chatter is boring. That's why it was so odd to have a new woman added to the team (part-time, I guess).

And the sad thing was, the cost-cutting move was not for KSFO, but the rest of the network. They cut Morgan from a money-making station in order to stem overall losses caused by other stations.
