Wexler: McClellan's Testimony Justifies Cheney's Impeachment
CBS News ^ | June 20, 2008 | John Bresnahan

Posted on 06/21/2008 3:14:08 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Rep. Robert Wexler (D-Fla.), one of the most vocal opponents of the Bush administration on Capitol Hill, said Scott McClellan's book and testimony justify the beginning of impeachment hearings against Vice President Dick Cheney.

During questioning of McClellan, Wexler asked the former White House press secretary if he believed Bush authorized the leaking of Valerie Plame Wilson's name. When McClellan said no, Wexler said this meant that Cheney must have been the source of the leak, meaning Cheney was seeking to retaliate against the wife of an administration critic. In Wexler's view, this would be enough to support the initation of impeachment hearings against Cheney immediately.

Wexler also suggested that Congress should use its authority under the inherent contempt statute to arrest Andrew Card and Karl Rove if they don't respond to Judiciary Committee subpoenas.

"We have the power of inherent contempt, and need be, we should use it," Wexler thundered.

Wexler is going to give himself an aneurysm.

Wexler looked and sounded insane.

And this isn’t the first time...

I was wondering when this loud mouthed cock-a-roach was going to crawl out of the woodwork again.

I don’t doubt that he didn’t pass the bar exam. If he even tried to pass it, and I don’t know if he cared one way or the other enough to take it. His aim was always to get where he is in politics, and his lack of passing the bar never stopped him.

If I gave the impression I was saying he has a license to practice law, I didn’t intend to.

I was posting what I found out about his background from his own official bio, as it might relate to what he knows or doesn’t about the law.

But in the end, I pointed out that these people don’t care what is true or what is legal, no matter what their backgrounds.

They are trying to fool the public.

I happened to catch a few minutes of this dog and pony show on C-SPAN. One of the panel members (I think it was Rep. Steve King) read a CIA report which proved that Joe Wilson was a liar regarding his claims about the famous 16 words. How Wexler or anyone else could continue this charade is beyond me.

I am ashamed to say that this slimy toad Wexler is my congresscritter. My neighbors from The Upper East Side keep sending this waste-of-sperm back to congress. Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, after all, constitute the sixth borough of New York.

Wexler is a moonbat. I would love to see Cheney rip him a apart verbally during an investigation. I think Cheney could make Wexler cry on national television.

If Scott thinks he has made new ‘friends’ of the liberals, he is sadly mistaken, they have the same contempt for him as they do for Lieberman.

McClellan is a rat, and a rat is trusted by no one.

I loved the official White House response to this: “Mr. Mclellen has already told everyone everything he doesnt know.”

Wexler is a liar.

He has a very great capability for further destroying his reputation every time he opens his mouth.

I can’t understand why he keeps getting re-elected. Even his constituents in the Sixth Borough of NY should know better. Must be the same voters who mistakenly punched for Bush in 2000 because of the fold in the ballot. /s

It is to hate Wexler.

“I nominate Wexler as the craziest man in Congress...and is that ever saying a lot.”

The competition is tough.
There is Maurince Hinchey afterall.

Wexler looked and sounded insane.

This moron, unfortunately, is my representative (and not by my choice) and I cringe whenever I see him on TV or hear him on the radio.

Just wait until the Dems control both the Legislative and Executive branches. The former Bush Administration will be flooded with thousands of criminal indictments.

We will see political persecution we haven't seen since Joseph Stalin and his Show Trials during the 1930s.

Yes, he is; I was actually thinking about viewers of his soundbites who didn’t know anything about him prior...

Thinking that he looked and sounded insane.

http://www.city-data.com/

and then go on to forum, I cannot as I am banned but if I wasn’t banned from there then I would have never found this site.

it’s usually people leaving posts like looking for a gay friendly place to live , what is it like there, then someone says this place is please come here we would welcome you etc etc

one person even said my town where I live, to which I repliued no it is not and no they would not be made welcome
I got banned for that one too

you’ll see posts like looking for a diverse place to ;live so I would say Miami or south Chicago, or Compton LA, basically all rough areas but they are diverse

they would always reply to me they do not want to live with poor people, one even said that all poor people are druggies, drunks and have mental problems another told me about Miami that they won’t move there as she doesn’t want to learn English

so what they really are asking is want a place full of whites with a couple of blacks down the road and two homosexuals on the same street, then go to a Mexican restaurant once a week , maybe throw a Chinese in with it as well.

typical white liberal, elitist, yuppie, stuck up snobs who would vote for their second coming Barack Obama.
Most will move south into a gated housing association , think they are better than southerners, impose their liberal agenda, tell southerners not to fly their confederate flag, and accept homosexuals, vote for high taxes and turn their new state like the one they left

so much for their diversity\\\one guy got his post deleted for asking he didn’t want a diverse place and only wants a place which a good all English American town,

a moderator for CT bans people and deletes posts(skytrekker)if you say the south is better or climate change isn’t cracked up to be or you want to see more proof

good luck, I doubt it’s changed since I was last on.
