It doesn't matter how you feel about McCain. The fate of Western Civilization is in the balance.

When Losing Isn’t Affordable

November and The War on Islamofascism
By Rene Guerra

Unambiguous success in Iraq and unequivocal victory in the rest of the global war on Islamofascism is not a choice; we don’t have any other alternative, for it is a matter of our very survival. It is not a matter of “prestige” or any other hubristic notion; it is about our own hide, particularly when America faces the grim prospect of Barack Hussein Obama becoming the next president of the United States of America.

The term “Unambiguous Success in Iraq”, cited in the above opening paragraph, is deemed to mean: 1- Defeat of terrorists to insignificance or, better, to nonexistence, 2- Disarmament and disbandment of all militias, 3- Strengthening of the military and all other security forces, 4- Cementing effective democracy (democratic elections and participatory-democracy form of governance), 5- Activation of the economy of Iraq, 6- Further stabilization of the entire country; and 7- Enrollment of Iraq as an active ally in the rest of the global war on Islamofascism.

The Backstab America Mob

However, the Democrat Party of nowadays and the rest of the Left, along with the Backstab America Mob (the BAM) have been intensively engaged -- since before the launch of Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 20, 2003 -- in impeding America’s success, and even facilitating her defeat in Iraq.

The BAM . . . what’s that?

They used to be benignly called “The Blame-America-First Crowd” (BAFC) from the milestone speech that Jeane Kirkpatrick -- that remarkable true American of -- delivered at the Republican Convention in 1984...

"By not sticking together in the primaries we conservatives lost. Now we can either go hide in the tall grass or unite to defeat Obama. Obviously you have chosen the former..."

Let me repeat my comment:

“The GOP forces this moron down our throats, then we are told that the entire fate of civilization depends on us to agree with them. What a bunch of lunatics! “

Best? An open borders, Shamnesty, gun show loophole closing, Saturday Night Special banning, higher taxes, non-terrorist questioning, "reach across the aisle", Global Warming apologist is the "best" we can come up with?

In that case, we deserve to lose.

I'm still voting Barr as I refuse to give up without a fight.

Barr while at USC in 1967 joined the Young Democrats of America, and rallied against the Vietnam War.

His parents disapproved, and threatened to cut off financial support if he continued his “flaming liberal” activities

On the Colbert Report on June 4, 2008, Barr confirmed that he now supports ending marijuana prohibition, as well as the War on Drugs

At the 2008 Libertarian National Convention, he apologized for the part of the Defense of Marriage Act which prevents the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages ( Barr supports same sex marriage)

Barr has called for withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, leaving no permanent military bases.

A press release from Barr’s presidential campaign stated: “The next president should commit to a speedy and complete withdrawal from Iraq, and tell the Iraqi people that the U.S. troops will be going home

Barr Does Not support the Patriot Act which has kept us from further attacks since 9/11

Barr has been a vocal opponent of President George W. Bush’s claim of authorization to wiretap transnational phone calls without individual judicial license. (Another favorite of the left.)

More recently, Barr has become a prominent member of the American Civil Liberties Union, sometimes doing paid consulting on privacy issues.

Barr had acquiesced to his then-wife having an abortion in 1983. He had also invoked a legal privilege during his 1985 divorce proceeding so he could refuse to answer questions on whether he’d cheated on his second wife with the woman who is now his third.”

a) If you tell yourself even a small percentage of the truth...you’ll admit that MCain is certainly better that those little sound-bites

b) Simple US election; one guy is a Communist.

c) Baar is just nuts...and a vote for him helps Obama.

It’s simply not possible to find someone that agrees with EVERYTHING you want...and then to get throught the nominating process. Stop making it into some complicated plot..... 2 viable canidates running in a US election. Our job is to vote for the best one and go home and work to get better ones in the mis.

With B, we can argue back and forth as to whose policies are more socialist. McCain's or Obama's.

Barr may be nuts, but he's nuts in OUR direction. Much more so that McIdiot.

Anti-the way this police action/Nation Building is being done. Anti-Roe V Wade and government funding of abortion mills. the drug war is a multi-trillion dollar failure of an epic scale. No one is forcing you to marry someone of the same sex.

Plus he's pro-RKBA, pro-closed borders, pro-Bill of Rights enforcement, pro-Constitutionally limited Republic, lower taxes, anti-government indoctrination centers, anti-welfare State....

So your attempt at misrepresenting his positions, their impact, and the exclusion of other conservative principles is duly noted. McCainiacs aren't very bright...

To: TommyDale; null and void
The GOP isn't forcing anyone down our throats. This was an unusual primary year, in that there was no incumbent, or sitting VP, running for President for the Republicans. The primary was wide open, and, as a result, we got lots of candidates. Some were good candidates, some not so good. Some were more conservative than others, and the four more conservative candidates split the votes of the conservative base of the party. That left the moderate Repubs, some Independents, and a few Democrats who crossed over, to vote for McCain. We can complain about his being the candidate all we want, but he received the plurality of the Republican Primary votes, and as result will be our candidate.

He wasn't my guy, I was a Fredhead, but I WILL vote for McCain, because the War on Terror, and the person who will choose the next two or three Justices on the Supremes are extremely important issues for me, and I do not want a Democrat making decisions on either of them. If we want to curb McCain's more liberal tendencies, we need to make sure to get more Conservatives in Congress. He can't do anything about Immigration or any other matter, unless he gets the votes in Congress; doesn't matter how he feels personally about the issues.

One question:

Are you voting FOR McCain, or merely AGAINST Obama?

Both. I’m for McCain, because I believe he will be less liberal than Obama. I’m voting against Obama, because I don’t want a hard core socialist in charge of our foreign policy, or choosing the next few members of the Supremes. The issue of national security will directly impact our safety as citizens, and who sits on the Supremes will affect society for generations to come. We are only now getting out from under the disastrous ideas of the liberals on the Court in the 70’s, and a couple more original intent justices would be a great buffer.

Obama in the White House plus both Houses of Congress will have the latitude to merely change the law whenever its convenient. And when they give the District of Columbia 2 senators, expand the Supreme Court to 12 judges....all to the left of Maxine Waters, and criminilize political dissent.....we’ll never turn back without blood.

From the lofty leadership and pure elegance of Abe Lincoln, down to the back stabbing sanctimonious driveling weasel of McCain.

We, the Republican party, have come a long way My Friend. We have tapped into the lowest sludge in the cesspool of politics My Friend.

I’m for McCain, because I believe he will be less liberal than Obama.

So, you'd be for a super liberal, if he was running against a hyper liberal?

Is there some point where someone, anyone, would be too liberal to get your enthusiastic support, even if they managed to find someone even more liberal to oppose them?

For example would you actively support someone who was all for late term abortions, if his opponent thought euthanasia was A-OK for grossly deformed babies who were beyond medical help?

Or do you actually have some core value, some point beyond which you simply won't vote for someone who wants your own slow destruction, simply because his opponent wants the same thing on a little shorter timetable?

Will you give this man the MANDATE OF THE PEOPLE, the vote of confidence he craves, the club he needs to beat down anyone who tries to cross stop him?

John McCain is not an ultra liberal, or a hyper liberal. Obama is either one; take your pick. I believe John McCain has a better idea of what this country is than Obama does, and he wants to keep it great.

We have but two choices, and I'm choosing the one who isn't the most perfect so that we don't have to be stuck with someone I believe would be truly dangerous for this nation.
