If this man's victim was white, will he be charged with a hate crime? Of course he won't, which shows the insanity of political correctness, and somehow seems to say that a black man doing such things to a white woman isn't as bad as a white man doing the same thing to a black woman (or a black man, for that matter). If he did it to a black woman, he should be charged with a hate crime. If a white man did it to a white woman, he should be charged with a hate crime. All crimes of this type of cruelty and viciousness are either hate crimes, or they aren't. The color of the perp and victim should have nothing to do with it, of that, I agree. All crimes of this nature display a form of hate, and it should be understood automatically, not selectively applied based on the race of the perp and the race of the victim. Hate crimes laws are stupid, because all crimes of this cruel nature involve hate. Selectively applying "hate" to one race while not applying it to another race is just stupid.
Forget hate crime. Rape is the worst crime there is. Worse than murder. It should be death. I’ve written to state legislators pleading the same.
