wonder when someone will have the gonads and the proximity to ask Obama

Hey. Speaking of gonads in proximity to Obama, what ever happened to that crazy homo-coked up Larry Sinclair guy?

The propaganda machine that is in effect will not and cannot ask that question of Obama..... it would expose even more the lack of experince and knowledge that he has

Obama isn’t the descendant of slaves. If they offered reparations to all blacks, would he take it?

Or, would he be expected to pay them?

Beckwith posted this in an earlier thread

Anna Dunham's forebears were slaveholders, one of Obama's great-great-great-great grandfathers, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves who were recorded in the 1850 Census in Nelson County, Ky. The same records show that one of Obama's great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers, Mary Duvall, also owned two slaves. Dunham Family Genealogy and Information

His answer would, of course, be “no.” That has been his answer since he began to run for the Senate 4 years ago. He is not stupid and we cannot expect him to be tripped up so easily.

I do not know if this fact has been posted, but there were black slave owners too, a tidbit well understood and documented in my small southern county. In fact, a local black contractor apparently ‘mortgaged’ his black family in the 1850’s to engage in real estate speculation and the city fathers paid the note rather than foreclose on the family.

"Trinity United passed a resolution in favor of reparations in 2002. I guess Obama wasn't in church that Sunday."

That was not the resolution he knew...

From his writings I suspect that he would NOT be for a one time reparations payout.

After all, he did NOT have ancestors who were slaves in America so he would not be elligible for a dime but he does believe in a concept of white privilege.

We could all be made to pay a “white privilege tax” instead. Since obviously we have secret handshakes and make plans to keep the black man down and to try to tell people that Obama’s really got a bunch of white and arab ancestors that he’d rather not talk about....

Obama has denounced and rejected Farrakhan. He has told Rev Wright to desist and has divorced his Church.

What is he going to expect us to do for him?

It's why you have to pay close attention to that racist rhetoric about "white privilege" (e.g. Pfleger insisting that Hillary felt entitled to something a black man was taking from her).

Obama's skin is black. Therefore he feels he has been discriminated against just as much as anyone born to the grandchildren of slaves.

But I know men who would be classified as "hispanic" who have a black father and a Mexican mother and don't get to tell people "they" are black. Because their skin isn't a pigment that would qualify them for redistribution of wealth.

From each according to his sins, to each according to his voting bloc.

I’ve been wondering this since the so-called “debates”.

Does he have a new Church? Or is he a Christian without a home?

Where and when was he baptised?

How does he claim to have been raised as a Christian in Indonesia when his mother was an atheist and his father was a non-practicing muslim?

If Pastor Wright “brought” Obama to Jesus as he claims, what was he until that point (birth up through his college years)?

How about reparations for the descendants of Union soldiers, who fought to free the slaves?

And how about the descendants of Confederate soldiers who lost some valuable property?

Its a nonsensical question.
Slavery is wrong, but it also has been around since probably the time of Nimrod.
It exists today. Primarily in African and muslim countries (and a strong case could be made for North Korea) - yet no noises are made (except in Christian communities, or by Missionary Groups like Voice of the Martyrs).

Being focused, and consumed on 'injustices' done in the past is a full-time job. Everyone can have a grievance - if they want to look for it.

The Bible is clear - we are all sinners in desperate need of a repentance and a Saviour.
Spending your life and energy focused on what happened in the past, or what someone's granddaddy did to their granddaddy in the past, is a monumental waste of time - and leads one away from the freedom of forgiveness and light.

Bad stuff happened in the past - don't dwell on it.
Bad stuff is happening now (e.g., slavery in the Sudan) - can you help?
Bad stuff will happen in the future - be ready to act as God will have you act (with forgiveness, compassion, justice).

He’ll say he’s opposed to reparations (but he won’t veto a reparations bill when it lands on his desk).

Yes, if that is a proven fact, it can be t he entre’ to asking the reparation question and a follow-up as to why his pastor made it.
