Obama isn’t the descendant of slaves. If they offered reparations to all blacks, would he take it?

How about reparations for the descendants of Union soldiers, who fought to free the slaves? Or even thank you cards? Nope, we would be among the ones expected to pay.

Anna Dunham's forebears were slaveholders, one of Obama's great-great-great-great grandfathers, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves who were recorded in the 1850 Census in Nelson County, Ky. The same records show that one of Obama's great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers, Mary Duvall, also owned two slaves. Dunham Family Genealogy and Information

It's why you have to pay close attention to that racist rhetoric about "white privilege" (e.g. Pfleger insisting that Hillary felt entitled to something a black man was taking from her).

Obama's skin is black. Therefore he feels he has been discriminated against just as much as anyone born to the grandchildren of slaves.

But I know men who would be classified as "hispanic" who have a black father and a Mexican mother and don't get to tell people "they" are black. Because their skin isn't a pigment that would qualify them for redistribution of wealth.

From each according to his sins, to each according to his voting bloc.

And how about the descendants of Confederate soldiers who lost some valuable property?

Its a nonsensical question.
Slavery is wrong, but it also has been around since probably the time of Nimrod.
It exists today. Primarily in African and muslim countries (and a strong case could be made for North Korea) - yet no noises are made (except in Christian communities, or by Missionary Groups like Voice of the Martyrs).

Being focused, and consumed on 'injustices' done in the past is a full-time job. Everyone can have a grievance - if they want to look for it.

The Bible is clear - we are all sinners in desperate need of a repentance and a Saviour.
Spending your life and energy focused on what happened in the past, or what someone's granddaddy did to their granddaddy in the past, is a monumental waste of time - and leads one away from the freedom of forgiveness and light.

Bad stuff happened in the past - don't dwell on it.
Bad stuff is happening now (e.g., slavery in the Sudan) - can you help?
Bad stuff will happen in the future - be ready to act as God will have you act (with forgiveness, compassion, justice).
