That's because we were raised by self-indulgent, dependent and narcissistic parents. (My parents and my in-laws are excluded from that statement as they neither fit that bill nor raised my husband and I to fit it either.) The Baby Boomer generation is the WORST generation this country has ever had, and their putrescent legacy of moral decay continues on in the lives of their half-morally bankrupt children and, now (have mercy!), grandchildren.
It's no shock that marriage in this country is in trouble or that homosexuality has risen drastically in the last 30 years or that men (and goodness knows, women too) are irresponsible even when nearing the age of 30. It's no shock because those under the age of 30 haven't exactly had too many decent role models or real elders to model ourselves after and respect. The Boomers are a fat load of nobodys when it comes to moral examples and leadership and the number of Boomers who rise above that truth is dwindling daily.
Really, it's no wonder we're in the mess we're in today.
