I married at 21 and I’m still married to him 20 years later. I have two children and have advised them it is better to get their college degree, then marry and have children. It is just easier. I know this because I am attending college now with two young teens and it is difficult.
Life is difficult.
The damage done to our young in college makes me think they’d be better off being poor but loving parents.
Congratulations to you for pursuing your dreams even though it is difficult. Some people wish they could, but you are showing that you CAN.
I suspect that your efforts are also impressing the value of an education on your children (as well as the fact that good things require work).
“...I am attending college now with two young teens ...”
My mom started college at 47. I was 15. You can do this. She has a bachelors of arts in English now. I would not be surprised if she went back for her master’s sometime. But ... she’s 75 and might want to slow down some.
She started work when she was 17 because her mom was widowed and it was just not possible for her to go to college.
Anyway, you can do this.
