Dr. James Dobson responds to a speech made by Barack Obama in which the presidential candidate, while discussing the role of religion in government, compares Dr. Dobson to political activist the Rev. Al Sharpton. Dr. Dobson also updates listeners on the battle to preserve traditional marriage in Arizona, and pays tribute to late broadcast journalist Tim Russert. Joining Dr. Dobson for a discussion of these important issues are Focus on the Family President Jim Daly and Tom Minnery, Focus' Vice President of Public Policy. "76 percent of the [American] people identify themselves as Christian ... [but Barack Obama is] diminishing the idea that people of Christian faith have anything to say." - Tom Minnery
I sure wish they had got behind Duncan Hunter.
Obama really is a Doofus isnt he?
What could he hope to gain by speaking biblically?
His base arent fundamentalists, so he will irritate them, and he doesnt know what he is talking about so he will piss off fundamentalists.
I heard him saying the bible says slavery is OK in leviticus.
When it comes to the Bible, I dont think Obama wants to take on Dobson, unless he wants to get his empty suit handed to him, so to speak. Unlike Obamas former pastor, Dobson actually knows and teaches the Bible, not some off the wall social gospel. IMHO
Obama is someone’s puppet, and as time goes on, we’ll find out who’s pulling the strings.
SPOT ON.
Any 2nd-year student in a Bible-believing college would eat Obama’s lunch. I am disappointed more Bible believers are not calling him on his total lack of Bible knowledge, specifically in the area of dispensations.
His former pastor taught him zilch.
“The essence of dispensationalism, then, is the distinction between Israel and the church. This grows out of the dispensationalist’s consistent employment of normal or plain or historical-grammatical interpretation, and it reflects an understanding of the basic purpose of God in all His dealings with mankind as that of glorifying Himself through salvation and other purposes as well.” — pg 48, “Dispensationalism”; Dr Charles Ryrie, Moody 1995
In other words, don’t take a verse out of context or otherwise nullifying the importance to whom God was speaking to, and what was required of that audience as determined by the amount of revelation God had given them, up to that time.
obama is getting what he wants with these replies from dobson...silence is golden sometimes
Your Tag line would be very much appreciated by the late George Carlin.
True, he is proving himself to be a lightweight and should stick to topics other than religion. He has almost no chance in November.
Hey Obama! This Jew here would much rather have a real Christian lead this nation than you secular alternative. Kapeesh?

Paging Mr. Soros, paging Mr. George Soros.
What is Kennedys agenda? for $800 Alex
I heard him saying the bible says slavery is OK in leviticus.
****************
“Slavery” in Leviticus is much more like what we call indentured servitude.
I dont buy into psychobabble either, however, Dobson has managed to use Bible principals as starting and finishing points when he psychobabbles. He has never forced modern psychology into his religion but use his background in both psychology and the Bible to reinforce biblical principals to help folks.
If memory serves me right the Bible doesnt condemn or condone slavery, but rather, tells us that we should be happy and content in our circumstances.
He was my first choice although I have to say I was disappointed when he endorsed Huckabee given Huckabee's point of view on the illegal immigration issue.
