The poll was NOT weighted for party identification since party ID is a moving variable that changes from one election to another, or when one party may be favored more than the other. No one who knows what he's doing would say such a thing.

Then what are the 8% other? I figured they were the independents.

I have noticed a large percentage of those claiming to be independent are way to the left. They honestly believe they are independent is what is sad.

Gee, a skewed poll in the LA times. I am shocked.
To: keepitreal
I heard 55% were going for Obama, 50% were going for McCain and 8% were undecided....

Today Gallup has Obama & McCain tied, Rasmussen Obama +4. The polls showing Obama with such big leads make me wonder if they are not deliberately biased - people who are undecided often tend to go for the ‘winner’. They are trying to push people towards Obama. How biased our news media is towards Obama, will they ever get back to reporting news instead of forcing their opinions down our throats (they ‘know’ so much more than the rest of us).

Thanks. Yeah I saw that. They seem to be structuring their samples for a certain result. These polls with gigantic leads are just not believable.
P.S. - This ‘Lexington Project’ is exactly what McCain needs to get rolling! (see my ping)

Am I confused or are we still missing 27%? Those are the "Super-Voters" who make sure that the outcome goes the "correct" way.

“No one who knows what he’s doing would say such a thing.”
Or they know what they are doing but count on the ignorance or inattention of other people.
