LOL, sorry, the only satire is you and I thinking humans would have more common sense than this.

I hope you are right. The wake up call is that men now confront beasts masquerading as men.
I have little faith in most of the American people anymore.
And if America goes down, the rest of the world that has any decency left will mourn our passing. The wolves will be at their door almost immediately.

I believe we will go down, barring divine intervention. As for the rest of the world; they led the way. They deserve the dark age that awaits.

Unlike Americans, an ape recognizes when his
turf has been trampled by the enemy and will
defend it to the death.
Let’s hope they don’t start giving anti-depressants
to apes. Then all hope WILL be lost.

Long overdue in every civilized nation.
Manifestly Conservative policy, as are all that protect the weak against predation. If we are not Protectors, we are not fully Conservatives.
Unnecessary harm to any sentient being is unethical.
Do we have an 'Animal Rights' ping list on Free Republic ? If not, we should.

monkey goes to trial for killing another monkey - excellent point

Those poor apes, I sure hope they are given more respect than Conservatives are.

This move will disenfranchise some nations.
Take Canada (please!)
AFAIK, there are no monkeys in Canada. OK, let’s ignore Quebec. What is in Canada? I’ll tell you what is in Canada. Glaciers, snow, hockey, beer, snow and poutine. NO monkeys.
The only critters in Canada are polar bears, and are they sentient? I say “eh?”
So I want to see Polar Bears in Ottawa by election day (do they have that in Canada? Never mind) or I will boycott Labatts.

Perhaps then it is assumed that apes will check
“Darwinism” box when asked about their religion?
“But now ask the beasts and they will tell you and the
birds of the air and they will teach you and the fish
of the sea and they will explain that God’s hand is in
the life and breath of every living thing.”

It's interesting that Heinrich Himmler used to boast that his nation was the first to recognize the rights of animals. Some would consider him a true conservative. OF course, conservatives realize that he was truly a creature of the left. The idea that animals have rights is insane. Animals function on instinct. All are predators, in one form or another. Even humans who are not competent do not have rights, in a context of intellect or intelligence.

I'll make a deal with you: I'll let the monkeys stay if we can demote liberals.
