So that evidently means that it wasn't ice free in the Medieval Warming Period when Greenland was called "Vineland" cause the Lief Erickson and his buddies were growing grapes there?

They traveled by boats to Greenland among other places through seas that would later become blocked by sea ice during the Little Ice Age.
