Livni Wants IDF Response To Every Rocket
Arutz Sheva ^ | 06.27.2008 | Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni declared Thursday that Israel should respond with military force every time terrorists attack Israel with rockets and mortar shells. She told visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, "It doesn't interest me who fired it, we need to respond militarily and immediately to every infraction."

Islamic Jihad terrorist leaders have accused Israel of violating the temporary Gaza ceasefire 15 times since it went into effect eight days ago. The alleged violations include IDF surveillance drones over Gaza skies and the shooting of Arab fishermen and farmers by soldiers.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has limited his response to verbal statements that Israel considers the attacks truce violations. In addition, Israel has closed crossings into Gaza that had been opened under the agreement, and they remain shut on Friday, except for the Nahal Oz fuel depot. Terrorist leaders have warned that the closures will be considered as violations of the ceasefire.

The Islamic Jihad organization previously has taken responsibility for breaking the truce and attacking Israel with Kassam rockets and a mortar shell on Tuesday. It explained the bombardment was in retaliation for Israel's killing two terrorists in Shechem, part of Judea and Samaria where Islamic Jihad unilaterally extended the truce.

The Hebrew daily Yediot Aharonot reported that United Nations sources claimed Israel has violated the agreement seven times and that Arabs violated it only once. Arab terrorists have fired at least seven rockets on three separate days this week.

Most of the alleged Israeli violations involved IDF soldiers shooting at Arabs who approach the separation barrier, where they often plant bombs to explode when IDF vehicles pass. Hamas has maintained that the Arabs were farmers trying to work their land.

IDF spokesmen said they knew of only one incident when soldiers fired warning shots in the air without injuring anyone. Islamic Jihad claimed that the IDF shot and seriously wounded two farmers, ages 67 and 80.

So where’s Livni been for the past 8000 rockets?

She’s right, but her answer still falls short.

A military response is necessary, but insufficient. You need to kill the attackers where possible, but there is an endless line of misfits and psychopaths ready to take their place, you’ll never get them all. And, frankly, killing these cretins transmits no pain whatever to the people who deploy them. The arabs themselves do not care about the loss of these lives, almost certainly the Israelis care more about arab lives than do arabs themselves.

The only response that will transmit pain, the only response that will get their attention, will be to annex territory in response to every attack that makes it over the fence. Whether its a rocket, or a mortar shell, or a deluded teenager with a bomb strapped to her waist, the border fence must be moved half a mile every time. The land must be annexed permanently, any structures bulldozed, the loss of land must be permanent. Compensate any innocent landowners affected by the new boundary, but move it.

The UN and State and the arabs have been promoting “land for peace” for decades now, and it has never worked because they had the inputs and outputs reversed. Swap the wires around, and it will work brilliantly. You do not give up land in hope of peace, you seize land in response to every violation of the peace.

There is no other roadmap to peace. Nothing else has ever worked because nothing else is ever going to work.

Does not matter ONE bit if her “answer falls short”, as long as the Israel rockets hit someone and kill them.

I have been advocating this ever since the first rockets starting being fired.
And I wouldn’t want to disappoint the UN and MSM who always bitch that Israel uses a disproportionate use of force when it responds to being attacked. So for every rocket fired from gaza, west bank, Lebannon, Syria, Jordan, or Egpyt, its immediatly returned by a full artillery barage at the location of the original rocket launch. If the islamderthals wish to fire from civilian locations, then they will be held responsible for the results, not Israel.

Those Israeli women are beautiful and they can shoot your eye out at 500 yards. I remember when I was in the Army, I saw a picture of Israeli soldiers guarding a remote outpost and they were two of the most beautiful women I had ever seen. This was back in about 1961, almost asked for a discharge in order to join the Israeli army!

No offense to our fine women in uniform, but what other army in the world could fill every modeling agency's booking list for the next decade. God bless CHEN.

My ship made an Israel port call when I was in the Navy (1986-90) and I've never seen so many beautiful women in one place as I saw in Israel.

I also agree with the idea that merely killing their enemies will never stop their enemies. They need to take their land, and then offer the middle finger salute to the rest of the world when they whine about it. No other nation is expected to not react when attacked, yet the world insists continually that Israel must not react. At some point, Israel just needs to do what's best for Israel, and forget about placating the anti-semites of the world who insist they have no right to defend themselves. Take away their land, and give the Jew haters something to really cry about, since they're crying all the time anyway even though they bend over backwards to achieve this crazy notion of "land for peace.".

I've been advocating that very same solution for years.

I call it "Kilometers for Rockets".

You know, I wonder if this is one of the fundamental issues of why Muslims hate Israelis. With the exception of Jordan, there is a reason why they cover them up.. (OK, that was a joke...)

Ever been to Tel Aviv? I love the dress code at the beaches there.

Every person is required to serve after high school, so it’s no wonder, when you have that big of a pool to choose from that you can find so many genetically advantaged females.

Might be, but the biggest reason is that you have a sparkling jewel of a Western society smack dab in the middle of a bunch of shthole arab countries, making them look that much worse by comparison and proximity.

NOW we know where Fox News is going to get its next crop of female anchor persons. And Rush just thought Fox did it by secretly breeding then on Bikini Atoll.
