Irony. The focal point of the debate between Obama and Dobson is separation of church and state.
To me, Obama is not living up to his claimed position as he launches a religious campaign against a religious leader.
Big news in this UK paper.
Ohhhh! My favorite story... people helping people... to hate other people... (sniff)
Obama has about as much understanding of Christianity as his hate spewing pastor does. It is disappointing to see so few black “Christians” condemning the heretical, miscreant version Obama embraces.
Mis direction, lies, distortions, connected with Obama and his campaign?
Never saw that coming.......................
Cyber Wars of the 21 century.
Typical leftist move. Nothing positive about Obama or arguments refuting what Dr. Dobson said. Instead start up another mud machine. This move is about the same as Obama talking without a teleprompter or a written speech full of Democrat talking points.
B.O. is getting very close to violation of the 1st Amendment. He cannot attack anyone’s religion. We are free to practice in any manner WE see fit.
Hopefully you all remember that this Calwell character is also the pastor of George W. Bush.
I’m not real surprised that the guy is aligning himself w/Obama; I don’t think his denomination (Methodist) is all that conservative. But I’ve always been surprised that a Bush felt that this guy was his “spiritual mentor”.
A sitting US SENATOR is doing this. Very disturbing, on many levels.
Alyssa Martin, and Im excited to be interning with the Religious Affairs department of the Obama campaign. I will be posting regular updates, and I look forward to having many positive faith-based discussions over the course of the summer
“The Houston mega-pastor Kirbyjon Caldwellwho presided over Jenna Bush’s wedding last month and has offered spiritual counsel to her fatheris a Christian VIP, so busy that his cell-phone voicemail says, “Do not leave messages here.” But on Friday mornings, whether he’s at church, in the car or on the golf course, Caldwell tries to dial into a certain highlevel conference call. At 9:30 Eastern time, a group of religious leaders gathers “telephonically,” as Caldwell puts it; for 15 minutes, they pray for Sen. Barack Obama.”
It’s all about skin color. Anyone with an ounce of morality would never support the obomination. That goes double for clergy.
I don’t think that Dr. Dobson would have said a word if the messiah had not used his name in the same sentence as Al Sharpton’s.
