Almost no place provides actual certified copies any more. They just provide a certification. Anyone with inside access to the state computers could conceivably fake that pretty easily.

And I'm not sure, but that rev. 11/01 may mean the form was revised in Nov. 2001 - indicating that both of the requests were made after that date.

I hadn't thought of the birth records being hacked - but I think that from the evidence I have heard is that their are lots of discrepancies on the form compared to those provided by the state.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned on this thread I don't think is that back in the day his race would have been “black”. Sounds like someone may have been a bit too fancy in trying to backdate the document by using “African”. (Personally, for 1961 I would have thought Negro or Negroid would have fit).
