White children are much more likely to be bullied than any other ethnic group - reversing racial stereotypes surrounding playground abuse, Government research indicates.
Two thirds of children from white families say they had been bullied in the last three years but less than half of children of Indian origin make the same assertion.

My son recently started teaching at a school where there is a huge minority majority. There are perhaps 50 white kids in a student population of approx. 800. The white children are terribly abused and the teachers just simply can't watch them every minute. It is truly a sad situation.

If you know of kids being bullied in school, why not get in contact with your local Guardian Angels Chapter, and see if they can run one of their bully-proofing programs there?
The program is excellent and it directly addresses the serious problem of bullying, comprehensively.

We home school.
I heard some Democrats on TV last night say that when Obama is elected that homeschooling will be so heavely regulated that the parents will opt for public schooling.
These Democrats were saying that the teachers unions were sick and tired of parents pulling their kids out of public education.
Statements were made about requiring homeschooling parents to have degrees in education.
Just what I heard as I switched through the cable news channels.
Obama, the most dangerous person in America.
Doubt that Obama can stop homeschooling....since most education is a state and local matter
If he could...GW Bush would stop homeschooling too....remember he is the author w Ted Kennedy of “No Child Left Behind”....the LARGEST BIG GOVT federalization of our public schools.

Also...homeschoolers are smart...many are tied to private schools set up to facilitate home schools.
You should be worried about BOTH Parties regarding home schooling. Dont ever think stopping home schooling is just a Democrat thing

The system is far from perfect but the teachers cannot simply pass the buck when they run into students that make them work.

Yes alas, woe unto me, I went to public school but for some unknown reason have survived to raise a large family.
Also home-schooled my children when I lived in South America.
I did not post my observations to you to cause you to be angry at the messenger.
My comments were for discussion and for edification.
I am for homeschooling if that is what the parent desires and less federal intrusion in states business.
The reality is that the stopping of homeschooling by Democrats will be a creeping thing like all programs that take away citizens rights.
Do you honestly believe that state legislatures under pressure to balance budgets would take a chance on losing federal money to placate the minority who home-school.
Intelligence and quality of education mean nothing to Nancy, Hairy and Obama who plan to socialize America and will steam roll all those standing in their way, including the Constitution.
I don’t think we will see this in the American media.

i remember in the late 80’s and early 90’s when white children at bus stops were
being threatened with knives. their parents moved out of los angeles, long beach, etc.
but the los angeles times described the parents as “racists”.
