Here is part of the transcript Alas. It was from the judiciary committee meeting last week. You can’t tell by the words, but if you watch the video, it is clear beyond a doubt, that Delahunt was inviting AQ to target Addington. It was beyond disgraceful:
DELAHUNT: Was waterboarding one of them?
ADDINGTON: That’s what I’m answering, because I know where you’re headed. As I indicated to the chairman at the beginning of this thing, I’m not in a position to talk about particular techniques, whether they are or aren’t used or could or couldn’t be used or their legal status.
And the reasons I would give for that, if you’ll look at, I think, Exhibit 9, the president’s speech of September 6, 2006, explains why he doesn’t talk about what particular techniques...
DELAHUNT: Oh, I can understand why he doesn’t talk about it.
ADDINGTON: But you’ve got to communicate with Al Qaeda. I can’t talk to you. Al Qaeda may watch “C-SPAN.”
DELAHUNT: Right. Well, I’m sure they are watching and I’m glad they finally have a chance to see you, Mr. .
ADDINGTON: I’m sure you’re pleased.
DELAHUNT: Given your penchant for being unobtrusive.
Incidentally, I was stationed in his district many years ago. It isn't surprising; I'm sure many of his constituents share his support of our enemies.
Addington (like that one BigOilGuy a week or two ago) was not intimidated by the pathetic, posturing p... umm Clown Congress of the left, and I loved it.
In four firm and dignified but not inflammatory words he opened Delahunt up wide and exposed what he is and what he wants to do to people who disagree with him.
I would have said it like this: Sounds like you'd like to kill me but, being the belly crawling little coward you are, you had to suggest to your allies in Al Qaeda that they do it for you.
DELAHUNT: Right. Well, Im sure they are watching and Im glad they finally have a chance to see you, Mr. .
Imus said what? Geez!
