I've taken part in firearms training involving "sim-munitions" fired from real guns. Before entering the training area, each person was checked at a gateway area for ammo, by pat down and by metal detector. His firearm was checked by a line of three inspectors, he would pass through the gate, be handed his handgun and a mag of simunition (which was loaded under the supervision of three sets of eyes)
Instructor has never had an accident
You know after one shot that you are firing blanks or live ammo. Plus, you must have a blank firing adapter to fire blanks. Firing live ammo with an installed BFA will blow up your rifle.
Something else is going on. Jaques Muhamed?
If you’re assured of never having to partake in a real military campaign, why bother to drill and train. Just pencil-whip the thing till you’re called on to perform and then just hope for the best. Obviously, a breakdown in discipline.
