President Bush is scheduled to stop in Houston to help raise money for Democratic U.S. Rep. Nick Lampson's opponent and the Republican Party's statewide campaign for the Nov. 4 election.

Bush will be the featured guest at a July 18 fundraising luncheon at the River Oaks home of former energy pipeline executive Dan Tutcher, according to an invitation sent to potential donors.

"Until RECENTLY Bush’s “pushing” has hardly been evident."

To you perhaps, but that's your fault, not his.

"They HAVE???"

Yes. Next question?

Bush enters office there are 6 state sponsors of terrorism.
Bush leaves office there are only 2 state sponsors of terrorism.

That's a damn fine record! THANK YOU GWB!

“That’s a pretty easy flip-off”

Consider yourself ‘flipped off’.

It is now, and has been for a long time, my contention that President Bush will historically be known as one of our best presidents.

For those of you fretting over the MSM's "polls", I caution you that you are wasting your time. I firmly believe that there still aren't enough Americans who will pull the lever for a scary guy like Osama Obama Yo-mamma Hussein.

McClain surely wasn't my first choice, but unless something unforeseen happens between now and the election, I believe he will be the next POTUS. I also believe we can live quite comfortably with him.

Paulite? Etc???

George Bush has betrayed the conservative wing of the Republican Party. He has betrayed the Republican Party rank and file. He helped put John McCain in the nomination spotlight and he may very well help put Obama in the White House. Many conservatives were justifiably leery of this guy after his father’s antics. Their suspicions were fully justified.

I for one will never vote for another Bush again. They are counterfeit conservatives.

You should really be saying that in Spanish.

Muchas Gracis Jorge El Segundo, El Gringo de Mexico.

Its kind of hard to figure out what His Inarticulateness means at times, but I regularly read this forum, listen to conservtive talk radio and watch Fox news.

Jorge has NOT been a vocal supporter of oil drilling in America until fairly recently. And if I’m not mistaken, it was Jorge El Primero who issued the original Presidental order banning off shore drilling in America. SOOOO, if it was originally banned through executive order, why the need for the postitutes in Congress to allow it now?

It will be interesting to see how much affection you have for this individual if his low ratings with the public help put that socialist Democrat Obama in the White House in November. McCain is far from the ideal candidate - he was LAST on my list - but he would have a better chance if Jorge El Segundo’s performance in office was better and his ratings were not at an historical low.

"Jorge has NOT been a vocal supporter of oil drilling in America until fairly recently. "

He has been very vocal since the year 2001. He has put forth energy policies based on increasing domestic oil exploration since 2001. I am in the energy industry. I follow this issue closely.

You are ill informed. That's your fault.

“I am in the energy industry. I follow this issue closely.”

I’m not in the Energy Industry.

I’m an average conservative American who follows this issue as closely as possible in the media available to the average American. And he has made a very poor case.

In the final analysis, the people can impact the actions of Congress and Washington, as they did with the illegal alien amnesty bill (McCain-Kennedy) and the Dubai Port Scam and the Harriet Miers SCOTUS Scam, by sending letters, FAXES and e-mails to their congresscritters on the subject of drilling off shore and in ANWAR - IF PROPERLY energized.

As the owner of the Presidential Bully Pulpit, Bush could have done this. He has not.

And THAT is HIS fault.

The Energy industry can’t effectively counter the Environmentalist Wackos alone. The public CAN.

We finally agree on something. I write both my Senators and Congressman on this issue often.
