If the Government forces us to pay reparations, then I predict there will be a violent backlash from White America. It will be time to overthrow the Government. Before long, you will see things like are happening in Zimbabwe right now: squatters claiming property that is supposedly theirs due to the sins of the ancestors of the current owners.

I’m sorry, that was very very tasteless, but so is forcing immigrants who came here in the late 1800’s and further on to pay for something they had absolutely nothing to do with. Heck, my family has been here since the early 1600’s up in Maryland and Virginia, but *I* still had nothing to do with slavery.
Let’s see, reparations for slavery, minus the billions wasted in the war on poverty and after-school programs, etc., leaves a hefty balance due the American taxpayer. Hmm, how will I spend my refund???
Native Americans had slaves as well. When a warring tribe won a battle, the women and children were taken in as slaves.
How does that reperation work? They were slaves to the same race, different tribe. And it flip flopped too. Back and forth.
