> Is America ready to pay reparations for its sins of slavery?

Slavery is certainly an anti-social and unpleasant thing to do to one’s neighbor, but I am unaware which of the 10 Commandments makes it a Sin... or which of Christ’s Commandments says “thou shalt not take thy brother into Slavery’. Can someone enlighten me?

This one might fall under the golden rule.

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12. I’m pretty sure it’s in Luke too somewhere.

Thou shalt not steal ..... slavery is the theft of someones freedom and fruit of their labor. Much like taxes you pay to keep Ted Kennedy fat and happy.
