Will miss him. His speech to the UN was the greatest.

The left are already out calling him a racist..

I saw that at the DNC Times of Los Angeles (talk show host Larry Elder's description of the L.A. Times). Outside of their sports section (except when they talk about Curt Schilling and Roger Clemens) and their Sunday ads and coupons, there ain't a damn reason to buy that fishwrap.

His death is a loss to all who benefitted from his service to the country. Still, it’s fitting that his last day on Earth was July 4. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d wanted it that way.

One of the greats has passed on.

I offer a slightly sarcastic tribute but one that comes from my heart and exemplifies those to whom Jesse was a thorn in their side.

“Run Jesse Run”

In 1978 I took part in my first election and had the privilege of voting for Sen. Helms. He had a long, distinguished and honorable life. I will mourn his passing but I will also celebrate his many accomplishments.

Just like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.

The LA Times has a front page story where they just SHRED him apart. There are 22 comments on the story and all but one support the story.

Typical LA Times garbage.

Helms stood like a rock against the Martin Luther King Holiday.

He knew the things our whole population deserves to know from the politics of MLK to the scandalous side of King’s life. Why shouldn’t the people be told since they know about Bill Clinton’s affairs, Jefferson with the slave etc?

Lets not forget to tell them because the public education system’s racial brainwashing sessions never end.

Jesse Helms can rest in peace for a job well done.

Helms was a gentleman. He Paul Wellstone disagreed on just about everything politically, but they ate lunch together and went to each other’s family picnics and became good friends.

Helms made a point of going to Wellstone’s funeral even though he knew the kind of reception he would get. The disgrace was shown on national TV.

"We'll never forget how he battled, especially during those
first lonely years, to protect our liberties, preserve our family
values and keep America strong. There he was, standing
day after day to a government Goliath, crying out like a
voice in the wilderness. Bit by bit, he became more than a
lonely crusader. He grew into a lionhearted leader of a
great and growing army." --Ronald Reagan, 1983
