Why do I think he'll be more effective than the government.
Probably because it’s his money, and no one can tell him what to do with it.
DING DING DING!
What do we have for him, Johnny?
As a lifelong Yankees fan I never though I’d say this: GO, METS!
;^)
Impressive. That must have been extremely hard. If he partners with John Henry, you’ll have REAL difficulties! :~)
That’s nice, but a greatful nation gave the G.I.s returning from WWII the G.I. Bill, sending them through college on us.
How ‘bout it, Senators?
Does this seem to assume that all returning vets neeed psychological counseling while only some vets need jobs? (Dumb writer or subliminal suggestion?)
The best med would be to win the war and then WELCOME them home.
The best med would be to win the war decimate the enemy and then WELCOME them home.
Think MOABx1000 or so, with a mix of AC-130H/U thrown in for special effects. Think Biblical...
“Does this seem to assume that all returning vets neeed psychological counseling while only some vets need jobs?”
1) Actually it does. The degree of counselling might be varied but since combat changes everyone, yes. 2) Not all returning vets need jobs. Some had them before they left. Other stayed in and others got out and are looking.
Bottom line, since for servicemembers, PTS and PTSD do not appear until 6-8 months after the return from deployment, it necessary to screen everyone when they return.
What about the Guard and Reserve folks who will return to the hinterlands ASAP upon returning? That’s 40% of the deployed force. These are people who need to have the care they need upon reintegrating into family, society, and the workforce.
I just said win.Your idea works for me.
