The Obama campaign announced Monday that he will leave the hall of the Democratic National Convention in Denver and deliver a rock-star-style acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High, quadrupling his live audience.
The speech will be on the fourth and final day of the convention, Aug. 28.
Adding to the historic resonance of the first African-American to be nominated for president, thats also the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.s I Have a Dream Speech.
The move means additional expense for the television networks, where executives are having a conference call Monday to discuss the expense and logistics of moving their cameras and anchors to the new location after months of planning for a finale in the Pepsi Center.
The convention hall has a capacity of 19,000, compared to more than 76,000 at Invesco.

We are experiencing a collective hysteria that could sweep this guy into office despite all of the clear warning signs. Hitler did not seize power, it was given to him by people exercising their rights as citizens.

OBEY!
Ein Volk! Ein Fuhrer! Ein Reich!
Sort of reminds me when I went to see the Who in Seattle in ‘72. All their equipment had gone off a mountain side and the concert was delayed 4 hours. It finally kicked off at Midnight and became legendary. All the fans unloaded that penned up frustration to make it an unbelievable show/riot.
I can see all those College age Obamaniacs rocking out to what all the Obama gatherings are so well known for. They pipe in all sorts of entertainment to keep the children occupied.
Not sure what point you are trying to make. Bill Clinton didn't get much more than that, yet both were duly and legally elected to office.
The Obamanation's arrogance shows no end. The man has a legit shot of being the President (unfortunately), but his contempt and arrogance is something to behold. I guess when his followers worship him this is bound to happen. Perhaps he should just declare his coronation at the DNC convention a National Holiday...We can all have an Obamanation Day to bask in the love and generosity of our soon to be elected God Like leader.
Your comaparison between a Rock Star and a Mock Star is invalid.
I like the photographs posted on this site as they help further explain the horrendous direction the United States is traveling in. In my mind, this election has very little to do with war (except for it being used as a tool), taxes, gas prices, etc., and all to do with the sanctity of life and family. Without a great deal of prayer, the outcome is not going to be very pretty, as Satan is quite real, and He now has someone in power working steadfastly for His reign. I’m leaving a link that does not contain anything new really, but it is interesting as it was written in January ... of 2007.
Holy Innocents, St. Michael, pray for us!

They do shoot them down ... right?
I know what books you’ve been reading. And yes, it sounds a LOT like that.
Will there be another free concert to draw the crowd?
the historic resonance of the first African-American to be nominated for president,Nope. Barack Hussein Obama is not an 'African-American'.
As 'we've' been scolded over and over by the likes of Jesse Jackson that an 'African-American' must have an ancestry of U.S. slaves. Just ask Teresa Heinz-Kerry after she said she was an 'African-American'. Or say... a naturalized American from Egypt - which last I checked is in Africa.
Ergo, Barack is an American of [half] African descent. Which in the olden days of the 1950's was called the technically correct word: Mulatto.
But that is now some kind of slur equal to the 'n-word'.
That’s funny
“Scissors beat paper”
Anyone here old enough to remember mass weddings performed at large venues by Rev. Sun Yung Moon?
It' about time to start deprogramming these cultists.
Is he becoming a megalomaniac (sp?) or has he always been one? Yep there is the comparison to Hitler’s huge rallies and his plans for his acceptance speech.
Stupid question - why have a huge outdoor rally in a stadium, when everything was all set for him to speak in the convention center? Even with a bigger seating capacity and allowing some members of the general public into the stadium to see him, the vast majority of us will see it on TV anyway.
So, is it more than just a speech planned? will it be like a Super Bowl halftime show spectacular happening, which then leads into the main event of his speech?
I think he has something up his sleeve besides just giving a speech.
Lightning (a heavenly zot) would be an added bonus.
No, red shirts....look next time, they are already there.
