"But we have no responsibility for that," said Paul Riedl, of Gallery XIV. "I have no idea who did it. I know the artist has a following of people and they might do this. He's noted for guerilla-type tactics and stuff, but those were done not with our permission."

NO, you bare ALL the responsibilty for that since you decided to hire a known vandal of private property. Just because you didn't anticipate or plan to avoid his "followers'" typical vandalism doesn't make you any less culpable you idiot. You wanted a left-winger to make a portrait of the "massiah" and the results WERE predictable. Would English-the-hack have been hired to paint McCain? Only if it made him look bad, I'm guessing.

English made a name for himself by co-opting corporate billboards in New York City and pasting over them with his own billboards that lampooned corporate excess, war, and other hot-button topics. His website, popaganda.com, displays a gallery of illegal billboards he has erected.

Someone somewhere probably has video. ATMs are cameras. Traffic lights have cameras. Security cameras are at many businesses.

Find a single shot of the vandals in action.
