Maybe any who do "get it" care only about their chances for re-election. Voters generally care less about truth and more about what makes them feel good. Politicians want to be able to say they did something about [insert emotional issue of the day here]. Telling constituents the solution lies with themrather than with their elected officialsis unacceptable these days.
