Jill Stanek: Botch an abortion? Obama would let baby die
WorldNetDaily ^ | 7/9/08 | Jill Stanek

A CNN reporter interviewing me a couple weeks ago about Barack Obama's opposition as state senator to the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act groaned more than once that this topic was "complicated."

She was referring to Obama's various explanations through the years for blocking Born Alive and lately his outright denial that obstructing legislation declaring live aborted babies legal persons had anything to do with endorsing their death.

I finally emailed her, "It is clear: Obama strongly opposed legislation to protect abortion survivors. This is horrible, so of course he will try to make it 'complicated,' but it is not."

Obama has recently been ratcheting up the obfuscations, which I'll get to momentarily.

Before that, a reader last week recommended I give pro-lifers uncomplicated talking points on Obama and Born Alive. Here they are:

Barack Obama is so radically pro-abortion he supports infanticide, as evidenced by his active opposition to the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act. This makes him further left than any U.S. senator and even NARAL.

And every American voter needs to know this!

This reason alone makes me against Obama.

it’s amazing that liberals call the execution of a murderer an act of murder.

yet, during abortion, an innocent life is mercilessly and gruesomely taken with the use of a sharp scissor, scalpels, or whatever sharp instrument is available, and that is called choice.

an absolutely, positively amazing twisting of logic; absolutely amazing.

imho

This makes me want to go and slap every person that ever called Bush “Hitler”. This is unbelievable to me. Most pro-choice people aren’t pro-leave a baby to die in trash can.

It’s downright Satanic if you ask me. What’s up is down, what right is left. This is everything I ever heard in church come to pass. And I didn’t believe it then.

It’s more than your opinion. The liberal’s hypocrisy is appalling.

Could you imagine the fallout if a convicted serial rapist on death row was executed in the same manner as that poor, helpless baby?

They don’t let animals be put down in such a heartless manner.

I'd rather die with my hands around this sonofabitch's throat. But I guess I'll have to take a number, won't I?

It has to be said...

Dems oppose the Born Alive Act because any woman who has paid good money for an abortion is entitled to a dead baby.

I've heard stated before... A conservative believes; punish the guilty, protect the innocent. A liberal believes: protect the guilty, punish the innocent.

In the spirit of compromise, perhaps women should be allowed to kill their babies up to the age of two, if they can shove them back into the womb first.

The Great Man...

Ronald Reagan...

“As a nation today, we have not rejected the sanctity of human life. The American people have not had an opportunity to express their view on the sanctity of human life in the unborn. I am convinced that Americans do not want to play God with the value of human life. It is not for us to decide who is worthy to live and who is not. Even the Supreme Court’s opinion in Roe v. Wade did not explicitly reject the traditional American idea of intrinsic worth and value in all human life; it simply dodged this issue.”

it’s such a shame that the spawn of satan are as feared as they are.

Does Obama have doubts that any living infant would be a person? Or are infants that survive an attempt on their lives from abortion mystically different?
